James

Would it be rude of me to go see eric while they are spending time together? I don't like keeping things from him that concern him and his sister. I guess I never smelt anything off about her since she is still his half-sister. We vampires know when you meet another person and can tell who they are related to if we have met their family before.

We really never got along as kids and plus eric didn't really like hanging out with a toddler. He is 10 years older than she is, and I am surprised she hasn't found her mate yet. Becca always found a way to get eric in trouble, but it never worked out well for her since eric would get her in more trouble with their mother, but since she was a daddy's girl, eric got beaten because he was a snitch.

I wonder what eric is going to do about his half-brother. I highly doubt that guy could even take on eric since not a lot of people in the kingdom know he is a Lycan as well. Eric is a killing machine and even I don't get on his Lycans' bad side. I have only met that side of him maybe a handful of times and that thing is fucking ugly to look at. I wonder how Elena isn't even scared of it.

I have been sitting in this car for the past 20 minutes trying to figure out if I should just go home after taking care of my book shop or drive the extra 15 minutes away from home to bug him today. I might turn into dust before I can decide on what I am going to do.

''What is taking you so long to give me an answer on where we are going?'', Cyprus tapping his hand on the steering wheel and playing some game on his phone. I exhale a lousy breath, ''Debating if I should go see her or stay clear from being killed by a werewolf manic. I have some things I need to tell him before he goes and sees his lunatic lying mother.'' He turns around and whistles, ''What did that old bitch do now?''

I glared at him, and he turned back around. ''Sorry, but private information about the royal family.'' I rolled my eyes and pushed the button on the side of the door to put the window down. ''That has never stopped you before, James.'' He is not wrong, but this could shift some things around if it got out. ''I know, but this one I can't share. Sorry. Let's head towards the werewolf kingdom. I need to visit someone first before him.''

Cyprus drove off and turned the radio on to annoy me, like always. My sister is out-of-town once again once Elena left home and Callie has been upset since then. She really enjoyed Elena's company, but she needs to realize Elena won't always be around us.

Trees pass by in a blur, and the leaves are already on the ground and probably still damped with rainwater. Fall can be dryer here but still wet at the same time. I never really understood how the magic around these woods worked. I can feel the buzzing the magic makes, but it doesn't really bug me more like sooths me. We come to a brief stop because an injured wolf almost got run over by us. I rush out the door and examine the wolf. Female by the smell, but I know this smell.

''Fuck, Claire. What happened?'', I pick her up and rush her over to the back seat and slide next to her and told him to rush us to the castle. After speeding down the wood path, we finally make it through, and Cyprus doesn't stop and crashes through the gate and almost smacks the car into the water foundation in the middle of the driveway. Guards come out of everywhere and tell us to get out of the car. I come out with the injured Claire in my hands, and they all stop and drop their weapons.

Elena runs outside half-dressed, and her breast almost slide out of her nightgown. I growl, causing her to stop dead in her tracks. ''What happened to my sister, James!'', I push past her and walk towards the infirmary, and lay Claire on the table. She has the huge bite mark on her neck, and she hasn't woken up. ''Why did you crash through my fucking gate like a madman?''

''I found Elena's sister hurt in the woods near the line. I didn't think Cyprus would crash through the gate like that. Sorry I will pay for it. I don't know how she got hurt but I have a feeling I know who did this.'' Elena walked by us and tended to her sister.
