It's been a few weeks now and it's a little less awkward around the house. He still doesn't talk much but at least it's still an improvement. I finish my makeup then spray on some perfume. Bennett walks in as I grab my purse. "You ready?" I nod my head as I grab my phone off the vanity and we make our way down stairs then head into the garage. He opens the door for me the gets in and me head to my interview. He parks around back and I wait for him to come around and open my door. He helps me out and Rexx, the interviewer, and a few guys comes out.
Bennett walks slightly in front of me as we walk to them. I give him a quick hug as I greet him. "Maiya, how are you." "I'm good Rexx, excited for the interview." He nods his head then leads us inside. When we get into the room he tells me to post for the camera for the intro shot.

Bennett pulls out my seat for me then pulls his chair next to mine. A few people from Rex's crew come in and sets up the cameras and the mics. After fixing my mic in front of me, I adjust myself as we get ready to start.
"Okay yall, joining me today is miss Hot Commodity herself. I watch on the screen as they show the shot I took. As the camera comes back on me I blow kisses at the camera. "Heyyy. It's a pleasure to be here Rexx." He smiles and nods his head before saying. "Well it's our pleasure havin you. I do see you brought a guest. I don't wanna be rude so if you or he wanna introduce... You know, we've been seeing him with you quite a lot. And I don't wanna jump to any conclusions." I laugh then say. "I'm glad you didn't. This my personal security." Bennett sits up and leans closer to me to speak into the mine. "Names Ben." Rexx nods his head as Bennett leans back in his seat.
"So Don, if you don't mind me asking was there a reason for hiring him? We only been seeing y'all together recently." I playfully side eye Rexx and he laughs putting his hands up. "You don't have to share but I just know some of us were curious." I laugh and wave him off as I say. "Honestly I had a situation happen at my house so at that point it was just time to take that next step." "Can you touch on the situation a bit?" Bennett adjusts hisself as I say. "Yeah I can. I was just getting a lot of mail sent to me, letters, gifts... it was a lot. And it honestly been goin on for a while but the incident that happened recently just made it a lot more intense." He nods his head then looks over at Ben.
"Well I see he looks like he can handle himself and you so I think hiring him was a good thing. And I'm glad you're okay, situations like that are always scary." He changes the subject and we start talking about some of the shows I've done, collaborations, and if I'm working on new music. "So speaking of music..." I playfully roll my eyes and laugh as I say. "What about it." He laughs as he rubs his hands together. "Your song 'Luv U Better' is going viral right now, was there any inspiration behind it. Or a specific person..." We both start laughing and I point to the camera. "He's messy y'all."
He laughs again then I say. "Honestly no, I was just listening to some music and I hear Mary come on and I just knew I had to do something with it. I mean who the hell doesn't love Mary J, like?" He nods his head agreeing with me. "You right." We laughs and he starts singing the intro of the song. I cover my mouth as I laugh and he stops and shakes his head. "You laughing you gone head and sing it then." I laugh and then get closer to the mic trying to stop laughing. I see on the screen they're showing the pictures of me and Mary.
