Alastor asked me a question today that really struck a nerve...

Flash backkkk

"Hey dear. I have something to ask you." Alastor says while he passes me a bowl of peach slices. He sits down onto the couch looking at me expectedly.

"Ok shoot." I said while placing the bowl down. I lean back taking a sip of some orange juice from my mug while he asks his questions.

"When you were taking over Angels job I noticed something. There were little X's on your skin. What are they?" he asks politely while I spit out my drink. I feel like I'm going crazy out of my mind.

"They are uh." I say trying to collect myself in a manner that seems polite. "I um ah it's. From-from my brother and all. Like my death..." I say gaining a look of sympathy from my boyfriend.

"Oh I'm so sorry! I shouldn't have asked." He says while embracing me softly.

"No no! You were curious that's all!" I say while patting his back. I always get kinda weird when we talk about my past. I still carry that guilt from killing my mom. My dad not so much he was a drunk and a drug addict. I'm surprised I got to him first. My mom was a sweetheart though. She was always there for me. She was one of the only people who cared for me accept my brother but we all know how that went. I was my father's main target for abuse so my mother and brother got me through that. I'm still grieving my mother sadly. I hope I'll be just like her to my daughter someday...

Back to normal timeeee

Charlie walks up to us. She's been helping us with making the nursery for our baby.

"Hey Yn and Alastor! I was wondering if you had a certain color in mind for the nursery's walls! If you don't I have paint colors to choose from!" She smiles while holding up a rainbow of bright to pastel color cards.

"Well we don't! I like that light green. Don't you Alastor?" I say while pointing to the soft green. He smiles and nods.

"I do agree that is a very nice shade." He says holding the color to his eyes to see it in brighter light.

"Right! I'll get the shade and paint the nursery tomorrow!" She says while skipping off to buy the paint with a few other decorations. I sit back down and start to draw something. I began the drawing Alastor looks over my shoulder to watch. I started to draw different fruits like apples strawberries etc.

"Do you like watching me draw hun?" I ask looking over to Alastor who's smiling in content.

"Yeah. It's quite calming." he says softly his eyes fluttering down.

"Are you tired? You can go to take a nap. I know you were up late last night." I say while taking a sip of juice. He nods.

"I should probably go for a nap. I'll be upstairs dear." He kisses my cheek and begins to walk up the stairs as Angel walks up to me.

"What's up Yn and little smiles?" He says while he plops down onto the couch next to me grinning.

"We're good. Why do you seem so happy?" I ask placing my pencil and sketch book down. He smiles and stands up.

"I got a job!" He says while doing his happy feet in his kinky heels. I stand up quickly and hug him spinning us around.

"YAY YAY YAY!!! I'm so happy for you!!!!" I say also doing happy feet. "So what's your job?" I ask patting the seat next to me.

"I'm gonna be a bartender at some nice bar husk used to work at." He says while winking at husker while he flips Angel off.

"That's great! I should go when ya know." I say. "Oh this is so great!" I say standing up to go to the kitchen to grab another peach. I can't seem to drop that one single craving. That's it baby me loves peaches.

"Yeah I know. But it's really nice! I start working in a few days." He says while opening the fridge to get a soda. He pops the tab and sits on the bar stool at the island in the middle of the kitchen. I start to slice the peach while he just talks to me about the details...
