chapter 17 memory core

As everyone made their way back to the Rondyvou point to report what they found to Lord megatron.

[Megatron] : So what have you found?

[Knockout] :Me and breakdown found some footprints that belong to airachnid and some atuobots.

Megatron delighted when he heard about erected, but he grew concern when he mentioned atuobots.

[Megatron] : How many?

[Knockout] : about 3.

[Megatron] : Who did they belong to?

[Breakdown] : they belong to Bumblebee cliffjumper and grimlock.

Megatron grew a little bit more concerned when he heard, hoping that Brawl Assumption of airachnid and Grimlock weren't true.

[Megatron] : And what did you gather when you found these footprints?

[Breakdown] : Well, what we gathered when we found the footprints At first, I wanted to believe it was a struggle, but after further investigation, turn out that. Bumblebee and cliffjumper were spying on grimlock and airachnid.

[Megatron] : Why, though?

[Breakdown] : Want to tell him Knockout?

[Knockout] : Well Lord megatron As Breakdown mentioned, they were spying on grimlock and airachnid because it turned out they we're-

[Megatron] : lovers

Soundwave stepped up in front of megatron and showed him the memory core they got off the ship. megatron looked at it with both awe and joy.

[Megatron] : Where did you find this?

[Dreadwing] : From a ship about a good 5 miles away, Lord megatron.

[Megatron] : Do you have any idea where this memory core belongs to?

[Dreadwing] : No, all we know is that It belonged to one of our own. Why do you ask, sir?

[Megatron] : Because this memory core belongs to the huntress.

Everyone was taken aback except for Soundwave and dreadwing, who were shocked by the fact that not only was the ship the huntress itself, but it also explained why it felt so familiar to them.

[Megatron] : Now tell me, what else did you find in there?

[Dreadwing] : Sadly not much, only a few empty rooms, empty cubes, but we did find 2 stace's pods. However, one wad destroyed, and the other was opened by force or remote.

[Megatron] : What do you mean?

[Dreadwing] : We did find Stace's pod. As I previously mentioned, one of them was opened, but we can tell if it was by remote or by force. We hope to find more information by using the Memory Core. However, it is slightly damaged, but it's nothing that Soundwave can't fix.

[Megatron] : Good Sound wave open up A ground bridge back to The nemesis Once we arrive back , you will immediately get to work on fixing the memory core I'll even have knockout here to help you out in order to speed up the process.once you too are done you bith Will report back to me, is that understood?

[Knockout and Soundwave* Repeating in knockout voice*] : understood Lord megatron.

[Megatron] : Good.

Soundwave, open up a ground bridge back to the nemesis. Once the groundbridge opened, they all went through Megatron, took knockout, and Soundwave to the laboratory in order to get the memory card fixed. Once they got their megatron, carefully placed down a memory core on the table since he didn't want to lose the only thing that could tell him what happened to airachnid and if she made it out in one peace.

[Megatron] : Alright, you two get to work. When you are done, you will both report to me understood.

[Knockout] : Understood for megatron.

Megatron left the room, leaving Knockout and Soundwave alone. They didn't waste any time and immediately got to work on the memory core. However, Soundwave noticed that knockout was nervous, as if he didn't want to mess anything up. He didn't pay any mind to this since it made sense. Lord megatron Was counting on them to fix the memory core. Atfer 30 minutes Soundwave check on Knockout, who was still nervous but also seemed stressed Soundwave grow Concerned since he knew this could possibly slow down the process of fixing the memory card. But he was more concerned for his friend than anything else he tapped him on the shoulder and did sign language to ask if he was ok.?

[Knockout] : No, I'm not ok, but I don't want to talk about it.

Soundwave tells an in Sign language that it is okay. He can tell him anything. Knockout took a deep.

[Knockout] : Okay, fine, it's about that day, the day when we lost firestar. I still feel guilty about it. But not only that, I feel guilty about the face that I failed to protect airachnid, my own best friend. I let her down. I let us all down. I know what you're gonna say. There's nothing you could have done to save firestar, but I could have saved airachnid. But no, I just had to leave the ship and now look what happened. She's out there alone in Primus knows where. But now we have the memory core, possibly the only thing in this forsaken universe that could tell us if she made it out alive.

Knockout began to tear up and started vibrating uncontrollably. Soundwave immediately took action and tried to calm him down, but nothing worked that was until Soundwave did something that he hadn't done in a long time.

[Soundwave] : knockout, calm down, let's try some breathing exercises I'll even do them with you.

Knockout tried to do some of the breathing exercises, and true to his word, Soundwave did some breathing exercises and comforted him after a good 5 minutes knockout, finally calmed down.

[Soundwave] : Are you ok now?

[Knockout] : Yeah, I am thank you Soundwave.i appreciate what you did for me.

[Soundwave] : No problem, that's what friends do.

[Knockout] : Wait your voice. I haven't heard it since we left cybertron.

[Soundwave] : I like to keep quiet, but that's not important right now.now tell me why you bottled it up all this time.

[Knockout] : I'm sorry it's just the reason why I bottled it up. The guilt for so long was because I didn't want to be a burden to anyone. So I kept it bottled up for years, I forgot all about it, and that was until Brawl told us about how airachnid was still alive and all the memories came back to me.

[Soundwave] : I'm sorry to hear that.

[Knockout] : It's ok. let's just fix the memory core so we can give it to megatron and fine our what happened to airachnid. And so I can finally get some closure.

[Soundwave] : Alright, just know that I'm always here for you alright.

[Knockout] : ok, thank you.

Soundwave did sign language, telling him no problem showing that he's going back to being quiet again. knockout didn't mind he was just glad that he was able to get everything out of his chest again. Even if he still has PTSD he's just that there's at least someone who cares enough to listen.
