The next morning, Carlisle was still trying to decide on what to do. He looked through his closet until he came to a small box that had a pin with a shepherd's crook on it. He couldn't help thinking of his parents. They were counting on him. He had to do what he could to save them. Carlisle had made up his mind. He was going to Storybrooke. He started packing a bag and soon, his three kids woke up.
"Morning guys." Carlisle greeted as he finished making breakfast. "What's going on?" Ezra asked, noticing the bag.
"We're going on a little trip." Carlisle replied.
"We are?" Talia asked.
"Yep." Carlisle answered. "So, hurry and eat up."
While the kids ate, Carlisle packed their bags. He'd let them pack whatever entertainment they wanted to bring with them.
"You guys ready to go?" Carlisle asked, a little bit later.
"Where are we going?" Vanessa asked.
"You'll find out." Carlisle said. "Consider it a road trip."
"Do we need our school stuff?" Ezra asked.
"Bring it just in case." Carlisle said. He didn't know what to expect when he got to Storybrooke. He didn't know how long they'd be staying for. Carlisle called his work and the kids school, saying they'd been gone for a little bit. He had chalked it up to family matters. He technically wasn't lying.
It took them a little over 4 hours from Boston to get to Storybrooke with Carlisle using the map Henry gave him. They did stop once to grab a bite and use the restroom.
When they arrived in Storybrooke, Carlisle parked the car and he and the kids got out of the car.
"Let's see if we can find a hotel." He said.
"Do you guys need some help?" They heard.
Carlisle turned around and almost fainted. Standing before him was his mother. Although she looked different. Her hair was a short bob cut instead of the long flowing hair he remembered.
"You guys look a little lost." She added.
"Uh. Yeah." Carlisle answered. "We're looking for a motel."
"Granny's Bed and Breakfast is just down the road." The woman instructed.
"Thank you." Carlisle said with a smile. He motioned for his kids to follow him.
They walked down the road and into the bed and breakfast. There was an older woman behind a desk.
"Can I help you?" She asked.
"Could I get two rooms for me and my kids, please?" Carlisle asked.
"For how long?" The woman asked.
"Two weeks for now." Carlisle replied.
"Here are two keys." The woman said.
"Thank you." Carlisle said. He turned to his kids. "Why don't we look around the town." He suggested.
The three kids nodded. They looked around the town.
"It's a nice town." Vanessa commented.
"I agree." Carlisle said. "What would guys think about us staying here for a while?"
"I wouldn't mind it." Talia said. "It's nice and quiet here."
Carlisle chuckled. Talia had never really liked the city.
After looking around the town and grabbing some dinner at the diner that was part of the bed and breakfast, Carlisle and his kids headed up to their rooms.
"Ezra. Vanessa. You guys will have one room while Talia and I have the other." Carlisle explained. "Please behave, don't stay up too late, and don't make a fuss about having to share a bed. Alright?"
The two kids nodded.
Carlisle went into the other room with Talia. He read her a story like he did every night and Talia went to sleep.
Carlisle stayed awake for a bit, thinking. This was obviously the right place. His mother was here. Although, despite looking different, it was definitely her.
It didn't seem like she remembered him. There must be some memory curse on the town. Now, all he had to do was find his father.
