3rd POV

The star is flashing through the universe upon where racers are gathered in one place. "I'm glad you're here Nadia," Rosie hugged her best friend who had arrived after consulting for 3 days. "Are you going to be ok?" Rosie asked her pulling away with a worried look. "Don't worry, I'll be fine. If I could handle it the first time then I can do it now."

"Ok, you better keep your word," Rosie said before Jake snatched her waist away from Nadia who tightly pressed her lips being all alone. "You good?" Nadia looked to her side and immediately smiled, "Hey Jay! So how much food did you make?" Nadia jokingly asked as Jay sighed pinching his bridge nose. "It's better to be left unknown," he replied with tired eyes.

"Haha, poor you. Are you going to be a chef?" She asked scrutinizing his face. "I don't know but I do know I like to cook, especially for my family. They love it, so I want only lucky precious people to taste my food," Jay said with a proud smile on his face. Nadia looked back to the car, "Fair."

"Jay, where is Sunghoon?" Jungwon approached toward them before greeting to Nadia and paying attention to Jay. "I don't know, isn't he here?" Jay said with a serious expression look on his face. "No! I don't think he is here, today is the day that our biggest rivals are racing against us!" Jungwon hisses not to Jay but to the overall situation.

Soon everyone gathered together to discuss about Sunghoon's disappearance causing Nadia confused about what was going on. Why are they making a big deal? She didn't interrupt their conversation but rather eavesdropping to every word while standing back. "Damn it, you already know how the rival bets work!" Heeseung cursed under his breath trying to call Sunghoon.

"Where is Sunghoon?" The rival asked showing a cocky smile on their face. Nadia soon caught up and understood as nostalgia flowed in her soul. "Oh isn't he here? I was betting on our company but looks like I'll get it without trying." The rival grinned shaking his head in satisfaction. Jungwon cursed at him silently but Nadia caught it.

"Hey, Jungwon, why company?" Nadia asked as Jungwon sighed. "Sunghoon's company means a lot to Sunghoon, his father built with tears, sweat, and blood, if he doesn't get here now then everything will crumble around him," Jungwon replied in a blank tone. "The rival actually doesn't want Sunghoon's company but his vulnerability. He wants to see Sunghoon suffer."

Nadia frowned her eyebrows as she stared at the rival who seemed to enjoy their crisis situation. "Can someone race in his place?" Nadia asked as she inhaled deep in her lung. Jungwon looked at her and replied, "Yeah but we don't have anyone to replace."  Nadia contemplated while looking at the car and rival. "I'll do it if he won't arrive," she said in a nervous tone.

"What? No way!" Jungwon retorted with frowned eyebrows causing Nadia to sigh in frustration. "Is it because I'm a girl?" Nadia asked him waiting for specific answers. "I mean, you're a gi-" Nadia interrupted him with a disbelief expression on her face, "Jungwon just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I can't do it. That's actually dumb to think about girls like that. I was a racer before."

"Before-?" Jungwon can't seem to finish the comment without getting interrupted who seems to be losing their mind. "Jungwon, what do we do?" Sunoo asked in an angry tone letting Jungwon deal the problem. "Nadia will fill in Sunghoon's place." Everyone stopped chattering and moving after hearing something unusual.

"Nadia Avalon? The sunshine girl?" Sunoo asked in disbelief and doubtful. Rosie had a big smile on her face but was also worried about her past. "The girl? Pfft, stop the joke please," the rival laughed with his minion as Nadia created her hand in a fist and sighed to calm herself down. "Yeah me. Are you worried I might beat you?" Nadia asked unbothered tone.
