Mulan walked out to where her father sat, under the Magnolia tree.

She gripped the sword and the Crest of the Emperor that hung around her neck.

This was it.

She had returned home. She had survived the war, saved China, and was returning home.

Slowly, she walked over to her father.

"Father," she kneeled before him with the sword raised.

"I have brought the sword Of Shan Yu, and the Crest of the Emperor. They're gifts to honor the Fa Family."

Her father took the gifts, and dropped them, pulling his beloved daughter into his arms.

"The greatest gift and honor is having you for a daughter."

She looked up to the magnolia tree with tears streaming down her face.

She had missed home, but she felt as if something was missing.

Could she have had feelings for- No!

That was nonsense. There was probably a rule forbidding it.

But then again, there was a rule forbidding a girl from joining the army...

She looked at the magnolia flowers, and thought of things that could have been.

Could love have been blooming?
