When Harry woke up in the morning the bed was empty. He didn't think much of it. Sometimes Louis woke up before him. It was unusual but it happened.

He was still in yesterday's clothes. They had both been exhausted after the show and crawled into bed the second they reached their hotel room.

He noticed that Louis' cell phone was on the nightstand. He had probably taken a shower. If he was lucky he would manage to shower with him so he hurried over to the bathroom. He couldn't hear the water running and opened the door.
"Lou? Are you already done in the shower?"

The bathroom was empty. Harry furrowed his eyebrows. The shower looked unused. Where the heck was his boyfriend?

He shrugged his shoulders and removed his clothes to take a quick shower. Louis was probably already downstairs eating breakfast.

Twenty minutes later he was showered and clothed and headed out of their shared hotel room. He found the rest of the band downstairs eating, but no Louis.
"Good morning, Harry." Liam greeted.

"Good morning. Where's Lou?" Harry asked.

"We haven't seen him this morning. We figured he'd still be asleep." Niall answered.

That was weird. Harry furrowed his eyebrows.
"No. He wasn't there when I woke up."

"I'm sure he will show up soon." Zayn said.

"Yeah." Harry said. He got up to get breakfast. It was silly but he worried. It wasn't like Louis to just go off without telling him. He probably didn't want to wake him. Louis was being considerate.

He ate his breakfast. There was no sight of Louis. Why had he left his phone behind? That was so out of character. Harry didn't like this at all. Where was he?

As soon as he had finished eating he went to see their bodyguard Paul. He knocked at his door.
"Hi, Harry." Paul greeted him as he opened.

"Hi! Where's Louis?" Harry asked.

They didn't go anywhere without Paul knowing and definitely not without protection.
"He's not with you?" Paul questioned.

Now Harry was worried for real.
"No! He wasn't in the hotel room when I woke up and the guys haven't seen him."

Paul didn't look pleased. He picked up his cellphone.
"He left his phone behind!" Harry hurried to say.

"Alright, I'll find him. Go back to your room and wait there. You know what? Have the rest of the boys wait in your room as well so I know where you are." Paul said.

"Okay." Harry agreed.

He headed back to his room and knocked on the boy's doors on the way. They joined him in his room.
"Where the hell is he? Zayn? Has he told you about his whereabouts?" Liam asked and turned to Zayn.

"Don't look at me. I know as much as you guys do." Zayn said and held up his hands in defense.

"What if someone kidnapped him?" Niall squeaked.

Harry gasped and stared at the Irish guy.
"Hey, no. Of course, not." Liam said and tried to calm the situation.

Harry got up and started to look through Louis' suitcase. Everything was still there. He went over to the bed and picked up his phone. He knew Louis' password and scrolled through it. There was nothing suspicious in there.

They waited for an hour until Paul finally showed up. Harry hurried over.
"Have you found him?"

Paul looked resolute.
"No. I've gone through the hotel's security cameras. There's no sight of him. Now, be honest with me boys. Do you know something?"

They all shook their heads fiercely. Paul sighed.
"Alright, I better contact the police then. Harry, can you call his mum and see if she heard from him today?"

"Of course." Harry hurried to say.

While he headed to the bathroom to have some privacy to make the call he heard Liam behind him.
"How can he not be seen on any camera? This hotel is packed with them. He can't just disappear, can he?"

Harry closed the door behind him and stared at his phone. Louis' mum would freak out. It didn't help that they were so far apart either with her back in England and them in Australia. He made the call.
"Hi, Harry!" Louis' mum Jay said cheerfully.

"Hi, Jay. Ehm, have you talked to Louis today?" Harry asked nervously.

"No. Is he okay?" Jay asked, immediately sounding anxious.

"I don't want to worry you but we can't find him." Harry replied.

"What do you mean you can't find him?" Jay screeched.

"Ehm, when I woke up this morning he wasn't in bed and... Don't worry. We'll locate him. Paul is all over it." Harry tried to reassure him.

"Make sure he calls me the second d you find him." Jay said.

"Of course." Harry promised.

He hung up and joined the others again. Paul was still there.
"He hasn't talked to his mum today." Harry informed him.

"Alright, think guys. Has Louis mentioned something he would love to see or do while in Sydney?" Paul asked.

"No... It's not like it's our first time here. We've seen the kangaroos and stuff." Liam answered.

"Harry? A sports event? Something?" Paul asked.

"I don't know, Paul! He hasn't mentioned anything." Harry answered. He was starting to panic.

"Okay. This is a tough question. Be honest. How's his mental state at the moment?" Paul asked.

Everyone looked at Harry.
"He's not suicidal, if that's what you're thinking." Harry answered upset.

"I'm gonna check the roof just in case. Stay here." Paul said and left.

Harry paced back and forth. They were supposed to be on a plane to Brisbane soon.
"Has anyone called our management?" He asked.

The boys exchanged a look.
"No, we don't wanna get Louis in trouble. Maybe he'll show up soon." Zayn answered.

"He's missing, Zayn! We're supposed to play a show in two days!" Harry argued upset.

Liam sighed.
"I'll make the call."

He headed to the bathroom and they could all hear him raising his voice a few seconds later. When he came back out he didn't look happy.
"They say we have to do the show without Louis."

"Over my dead body!" Harry almost screamed.

He stomped to the bathroom and called their management himself, refusing to leave Sydney before they had found Louis. He got yelled at but stood his ground. He returned to the boys.
"They're canceling the show if he doesn't show up tomorrow. They're probably gonna sue me but I don't care."

When the night came Louis was still missing. Harry called Jay again. She booked a flight to Sydney.
