Chapter 5: CSA

OK, obviously there's not much I agree with Draya about. The only thing we can come to a similar conclusion on is . . . well, nothing.

But I have to admit that she was right about Country Springs Academy. It was absolutely remarkable.

Five hundred acres of manicured emerald grass, varying sizes of willow trees, and tons of recreational courts and activity centers. The dorms were like mansions and the educational buildings were huge. It was more like a college-town than a a high-school level academy.

"I heard the curriculum here is really tough." Virgo says, glancing back towards us from the window.

My eyes widened. "Really? I was starting to think I was the only one who researched this place's academic standards."

"Of course not! I have to look at the curriculum for a school, so I can prepare myself. Have you downloaded the texbooks yet?"

I scoff. "Are you kidding? I downloaded and outlined them all last night. I'm practically ready for any test they throw at me."

The others were staring at us like we were insane. Aries just shook his head and turned to Taurus, Aquarius, and Scorpio. "Nerds." he mumbled. They chuckled and Virgo shot them a glare as my cheeks flamed.

"Remember when I asked for your opinion? Yeah, me neither." Aries' ruby eyes flamed and he snorted before crossing his arms over his chest as Sagittarius and Capricorn fell into a fit of giggles and Taurus gave Virgo a high five. "Need some ice for that burn?" Aquarius smirked and I giggled as Aries rolled his eyes. "Shut up, asshat." he muttered and we all fell into another fit of laughter as his cheeks reddened slightly.

The limo pulled into the parking lot of a large colonial-style brick building with three stories, large windows, and tall Greek columns lining the white, railed hard-wood porch.

"All right, listen up!" the limo driver called from the front. We all turned to see him looking at us through the rearview mirror. "Go up on the porch to the front door. A woman named Yvette will take you guys to Headmistress Legion. Take your stuff and leave it by the door 'till you come back out. Now, go on. Bye. Get out."

Sagittarius scoffed as she pushed open the car door. "Asshole." she muttered, just loud enough for him to hear before quickly scrambling out of the limo.

We shook our heads and quickly followed after her before the driver could ask us to call her back.

I groaned and reached high into the air, flexing and uncoiling my tense muscles and feeling the stress melt away under the warm sun with the cool breeze of willow trees filling my lungs. It felt good to feel the hard, solid ground underneath my feet instead of the constant, bumpy motion from the road. To stretch my limbs instead of being cooped up in that car all day.

As much as I resented my parents for sending me away, this place had a strangely calming effect on me. Like home.

The porch was large and pristine, with not a speck of dust or dirt to be found despite the fact that it constantly had to weather the elements. I wondered how they kept it so clean.

Before long, all of us were gathered at the door around a tall mocha skinned woman with long straight black hair. "Wow, she's hot." Aries muttered before grunting as Sagittarius elbowed him hard in the ribs.

"Welcome to Country Springs Academy or CSA as the locals call it. You have each been accepted because your application showed that you have extreme potential as the future of America."

My nose scrunched in confusion. "Application? I didn't even apply." I whispered in confusion.

Capricorn looked thoughtful. "Neither did I."
