It was the middle of the night in the City that Never Sleeps. All was quiet, something that should be impossible. At least until a large explosion broke it up. Embers spread across the scene, catching various things such as cars, trash cans, and trees on fire. A maniacal laugh emerged from the epicenter of the explosion as a familiar figure stepped out of the flames.

Scorpion: Can the Spider-Man come out to play?

It was Scorpion, again. He had somehow broken out of the Raft and he was back with a vengeance. Luckily for him, you just so happened to be on patrol a couple blocks away from him. Y/N had heard the explosion and swung over to the blast site, unaware that his first true opponent had been waiting for him.

Spider-Man: Okay, can someone please explain to me why there's a fireworks show in the middle of April?

You swung over the edge of the fire, only to find a mechanical green tail wrap around your ankle. Scorpion slammed your face into the flaming pavement, forcing you to take on damage from both the fire and the impact. Our hero stood up, rubbing his head as he looked at the culprit.

Spider-Man: Oh, you're back. Something tells me you're not out on good behavior.

The arachnid-human hybrid glared at his enemy before speaking to him.

Scorpion: Yeah, I'm back. And this time, you die!

Y/N rolled backwards before he leapt into the air like a spring. A Venom Punch connected with his helmet, sending the green giant sliding backwards. He writhed in pain and agony; clearly electric attacks were still extremely effective against him.

Scorpion: T-That's new.

Spider-Man: Come on Mac, did you really think that I wouldn't have gotten stronger in the two years since our last fight?

He charged at you, still writhing in pain as he drew closer. A small 'Thwip' rang through the air as a web-bomb landed at his feet. Unfortunately for you Scorpion was fast enough to escape the blast radius before it exploded, causing you to leap backwards. He caught you in his arms, tightening his hold on your body as he began to crush your smaller frame. Bioelectricity built up inside of your body, waiting to be released as your struggled inside of Scorpion's hold.

Once you had enough charge built up you released in a powerful blast, launching your adversary into the flaming building

Once you had enough charge built up you released in a powerful blast, launching your adversary into the flaming building. Spider-Man quickly recovered, not dropping his guard for a single second. You had to be alert when fighting someone like Scorpion, especially since he could easily distract you with a fistfight so he could get in a sneak attack with his tail.

Alarms blared in his head as his Spider-Sense tingled, Scorpion wasn't done yet. The second arachnid made a mad dash for you, his tail slinking behind him, poised to strike. You fired a web at his visor, blinding him as you rolled out of the way. Two web-lines latched onto the villain's back allowing you to launch yourself onto him and get in a few hits.
