Chapter 3 „Tasks and plans"

Winter has thought about the deal and wants to accept it. Winter wants to show others that he is clever and powerful, but first he needs to find out what this feeling is about Qibli. Winter thinks:
"That sand snouter! Why do I have any feelings for this pathetic and annoying dragon? He is just a friend!"
Night falls, and Winter falls asleep. Winter didn't run away this time. He stood and waited. Then this big dragon came out of the darkness and asked:
"Well?"
Winter answered as soon as he heard the question.
"I want to be powerful and find out who I am! I am here to help!"
"Good, we have a hero here."
Dragon held out his hand to make a final deal, and Winter accepted. Dragon told him what he had to do as his first task.
Dragon smiled and disappeared and so did the dream, or rather the nightmare. Winter woke up. He gets up and his first task will be to meet two dragons in the big cafeteria in the castle. Winter entered the cafeteria and there were only two dragons. They are called Hail and Icy. Hail is the mean bully of the Ice Kingdom and he has always been popular because he is mysterious and dangerous. Next to him was Icy. He is a nice dragon. He plays the role of a good cop in the game Good and Bad Cop. Winter sat at the table and asked Hail questions.
"First of all, how do YOU two know about this giant dragon and why are you working for him? And secondly, what would be the first task?"
Hail answered:
"Oh, you know, nightmares. He just came and told me some things. And that's all you need to know. Secondly, your first task will be to take some information from the Sand and Rainforest Kingdom from some stupid 'friends' of yours from the Jade Mountain".
"Don't call them stupid, and they are not my friends!" Winter hissed at Hail, and the situation came close to a fight, but Icy stopped the fire.
"You two need to calm down! We need to stick together. We have to look after ourselves. In this situation EVERYONE is our enemy, even that unknown giant thing, so STOP IT!"
Everyone knew Winter, so he will be a spy. Hail will stay in the Ice Kingdom and try to get some information from the archives. Icy is only there for balance. They agreed and Winter packed for a long journey. He brought a dictionary, the religious book and some old letters from Qibli.
"The Jade Mountain is far, better take some food with you."
Winter was ready to fly. As he flew, Winter felt the freedom and beauty of the sky. He smiled and thought about how he would see his academy, old friends and .... Moon and .... Qibli. Qibli. That name really stuck in Winter's head.
