"No!" He said, grabbing my forearm trying to get me to re think my decision. It wasn't easy on my part, I would never imagine this day coming. A lot lately he has been gambling, drinking more and getting in with the wrong crowd Pete would come home stumbling, swearing and calling anyone in his way rude things. He needed help, and this was the first step. Pete had finally admitted to having a problem, which took a lot of courage. But now he needed real help that I couldn't provide, real treatment. "Please, I will really change I swear. Please Erin.." Pete was pleading, looking deep into my eyes, making it hard to look away. Pete's eyes are deep pools, its hard not to get lost, lose concentration. "I'm doing this for you, you need help. Im doing this for you." Convincing him was not a easy task. He released my arm, and looked me in the eye "I thought you loved me!?" Pete's eyes were filled with not only deception but with disapproval. "I DO love you!!" I tried, but I could tell he had already put up his walls. "I'm doing this to help you, the type of help you need I can't provide..." My eyes were filled with sorrow and guilt. He might think its a easy choice, but it isn't. I can't bare to be without him.

This program Pete was going to attend was going to last from around 4 weeks. There he was going to learn what damage this life style will carry, the prices and consequences he will have. Even some past strugglers will be there for support and advice, but also share their story. Its free, which was amazing yet shocking. Im nervous when he gets out, he won't be the same Pete. He will be deformed, nothing close to the Pete I married. Not the same humor, his eyes won't be as bright and full of life. But maybe he will realize this isn't the way things need to be.

"Honey, come on lets go get you signed in and comfortable." I tried to get him to follow me inside, Pete finally caving and finally grabbing his bag out from the back of the car. We walked in, he grabbed my hand, his was sweaty and grabbing mine tightly. "Don't be nervous, Im gonna visit every day." I said with a reassuring smile and rubbing his hand with my thumb. "Okay" while slightly smiling. Once inside the sliding glass doors, the receptionist took down his name. I had already registered him. "Ah yes, right this way Mr. Wentz." She said leading us down long corridors, finally stopping in front of a door numbered "2A". "This is where you will be staying for this program, please make your self at home." She said walking slowly walking away from us. "This is going to help, I promise. Please follow the rules or whatever they have you follow. You know Im only a phone call away. I love you." He smiled "Im going to change for the good, this will help. I truly believe it. I love you too." He said pecking my lips, then pulling me in for a long embrace. His mood was giving me whip lash, one minute he is saying he is beyond help, but now he believes he can get the right help. But Im happy that he believes he can get help. But believers receive right?
