Keith, Eric and Damian were able to return to Philadelphia by noon the next day. From the moment they entered FBI headquarters, many greeted them for Charleston mission. Immediately after opening the main door of K12 unit and entering the information section, everyone in the information section rose from their seats to welcome the three. On the television screen mounted on one wall in the information section, Fox News was presenting a detailed media report on the operation that had taken place in Charleston early that morning.

Walking down the red carpet to the K12 common room, Keith met a bald-headed, over 52-year-old man. Keith recognized him. He was Bernard Coleman, the executive director of the K12 unit. Keith remembered that Coleman acted as a judge in the several rounds of interviews he participated in to join the K12 unit. So Coleman's face was no stranger to him. The first day Keith arrived at the K12 unit, Coleman was not there because he had gone to Ontario on defence business.

"Evans!! So you did a fantastic job with flying colors on the second day?"

Coleman greeted Keith with a handshake.

Answering Coleman with a coy smile, Keith looked around to see if Damien and Eric were nearby.

"I didn't do it alone, sir. Damian, Eric, the Charleston police, the FBI...everyone was there. Without them, I wouldn't have been able to do this."

Keith said sincerely.

"There you go boy... that's bad. Get the credit you get while you're here, or you won't find the credit again."

Coleman said as if telling a secret.

"I don't need credit sir.. my only credit is getting to work with the boys of K12"

Keith smiled showing his teeth. Coleman shook his hand and addressed Keith.

"I gave you more points to those qualities in the interview."

With a smile on his face, Coleman patted Keith's left shoulder with his right hand. Keith's left shoulder was still sore from the early morning accident, and Coleman's knock made it even more painful. But Keith held on.

"Okay then.. carry on with the work"

Coleman said, saying goodbye to Keith and heading south to the information section.

As soon as Keith, Damian, and Eric entered the common room, the rest of their teammates surrounded the three of them to congratulate them. Keith's heart was filled with smiling faces, hugs and congratulations. Keith realized that there was a bond between the K12 colleagues that did not exist in the Pittsburgh FBI branch. Amidst the greetings, Anil opened the glass door and came walking as if to run. While extending his right hand to congratulate Keith, Anil did not forget to give a few friendly pats on Keith's right shoulder with his left hand.
As usual, Nathan's gentle smile greeted him.. Keith saw Nathan's light blue eyes twinkling with happiness at Keith's talent. Keith had a special admiration for people who smiled with their eyes rather than with their mouths. Among all, it was Alex who searched Keith's eyes. Alex didn't show up. Neither was Stephan. Keith hesitated to ask directly from others where Alex was.

"Where are the others?"

Keith asked Colin nearby.

"Logan is still in training. He has received a punishment. Alex and Stephan are on duty today. Both went to Trenton."

Colin ran after Anil saying that.

"Ah.. thanks."

Keith replied indifferently.

Keith's eyes instinctively turned to room K4. Exhaling, Keith went to his room, K10. After placing his belongings there, he sat in his chair. He was tired; Left shoulder was painful. Taking out his mobile phone from his pocket, he saw the text messages sent by Stephan and Logan congratulating him.
