It took a few days for the family to all feel normal and luckily, with Maddy sleeping in the closet instead of the bed with Ryan, he'd managed to stay healthy for Daytona.

Maddy was still a little sniffly but the fever had broken and she was getting rid of the cough with the medicine she was taking. The kids were still a little sick so Maddy was staying home with them until Thursday and then they would fly out on Saturday morning. Both of their fevers had broken and Hailey had gone home, leaving Maddy to take care of the last little bit of sickness in the house.

That didn't take much more than the medicine and cuddles she was providing.

"Mama?" Lukas asked, looking up at Maddy as they watched Paw Patrol.

"Yeah, buddy?" She asked, looking at him as he looked away from the TV on the wall.

"Can we call daddy? I miss him,"

"We can. What do you think Char? Should we call daddy?" She asked, looking at the almost 2-year-old in her lap.

"Dada?" She asked, looking up at her mother with her stuffy in hand.

"Yeah, baby. What do you think?"

"Cece! Caw daddy!" She yelled, talking to the Siri on Maddy's iPhone.

Maddy chuckled and pulled up Ryan's contact info, hitting the call button to make the most recent family photo at the clash take over the screen.

"Hello?" Ryan answered, sounding like he was definitely in the bus with how quiet it was.

"Hi, Daddy!" Lukas grinned, being the first one to speak as Ryan answered.

"Hey, buddy. How are you guys doing?"

"Mommy let me have ice cream for breakfast!"

"Maddy did you really?" He chuckled, knowing the answer was already a yes.

"If it gets him to take the medicine, I'll do anything. And I know you offered him a cookie the other day," she chuckled, "Charley it's Daddy,"

"Hey Char-char. I miss you,"

"Daddy!" She giggled, still not completely used to the phone.

"As soon as I asked if she wanted to call you, she said 'Cece! Call daddy'," Maddy chuckled, kissing her little girl's hair.

"She meant Siri?" He chuckled.

"She did," she nodded, "Do you miss daddy?"

"I wan daddy," she whined, looking at her mom before pointing to the phone before accidentally hanging up on Ryan.

Ryan called back on FaceTime, wanting to actually see his family.

"Sorry. Char hung up on you," Maddy said as she answered the video call.

"I figured," he nodded as she moved the camera to their kids. "Hi, honey,"

"Dada!" Charley giggled pointing to the phone.
