"Your dad convinced you to sing at his friend's son's birthday party?" Jade asks, leaning her back on a locker next to mine. I take out my math notebook since I have to go there next.
"Yup. I just hope they're not little kids," I say slamming my locker door shut. "Then my dad won't take their opinions seriously."
"Yeah, little kids like anything. Like school for example."
I look past Jade's head and spot Ariel walking, texting on her phone. She accidently bumps into this kid with glasses and a puppet in his hand. She drops her phone and they both reach to grab it, causing them to accidently bump heads. They laugh at their idiotic move.
They're even cuter than Beck and Ariel.
"Earth to Ariana," says Jade snapping her finger in my face.
"Whose that guy talking to my sister?" I ask, curiosity evident in my voice.
Jade looks behind her. "Oh, you mean Robbie?"
"Yeah... wouldn't they be a cute couple?"
"I guess. I mean, it's Robbie."
"I think they're a better couple than her and Beck."
Jade snaps her head to me. "What? What do you mean her and Beck? Ariel and Beck are dating?"
Woah. I've never seen Jade so frantic. She's really freaking out right now.
"Calm down, honey. Yes, they're dating."
"What?! Listen, I gotta go. I'll see you after class," Jade says before storming off. That was strange. That Robbie kid heads down the hallway, in my direction. I make sure Ariel isn't watching before I yank his arm.
He stands in front of me, confused. "Um, hi?"
"Hello, Robbie," I greet, smiling extra hard.
"Did you want something?" he asks suspiciously.
"I was just wondering if you wanted to eat lunch with me and my friends."
Robbie smiles. "Yeah, sure. Wait, you look familiar..."
"Yeah. There's someone with my face but red hair, walking around. She's my twin sister," I explain.
"Oh yeah, Ariel. I just literally bumped into her just a few minutes ago."
I have to get to class before the bell rings...
"Uh huh. I gotta go but I'll see you at lunch," I say before walking away. Can't be late for math. I have to learn how to multiply matrices because it's something you have to use for a job, said no one but math teachers.

Math.is.so.boring! Just give me a worksheet because I'm not going to get a grade for listening to you explain how to FOIL, Mr. Dingo. I doodle in my notebook just to keep myself awake. I don't know if I made a face or a pepperoni pizza. Good thing I didn't take Art as an elective.
A piece of paper ends up hitting my forehead and lands on the edge of my desk. I look for the owner of the paper but no one is looking my way. Only one way to find out.
I unfold the paper football and it reads:
Ariana-
Heard you're performing at a birthday party (Jade told me). Mind if I write a song with you to perform?
From, Andre
P.S. Sorry for hitting your forehead.
I laugh to myself once I see Andre waving at me from the desk diagonal from mine. I would write a letter back but with my luck, I'll miss his head and it'll hit someone else's.
