"Hey, Ariana," greets a sweet voice that I really don't want to talk to right now. But I have to speak to her sooner or later.

"Hey, Ariel, I was just about to look for you," I lie through my teeth. I watch intently as she looks around, frantically. "Are you looking for something?"

"I'm looking for Beck because I haven't seen him since homeroom," she says looking at me. My stomach twists into a knot and a lump forms in my throat. Is it hot in here, or what? "Are you okay? You look sick."

Here goes nothing. "I have to tell you something, Beck is-"

"Ariel!" yells Miss wide hips. She comes running up to us, excitement all on her face. I glare at her, hoping she would take a hint that we're talking about something important, but she doesn't even acknowledge me. "Beck asked me to give this letter to you."

Ariel's eyes light up and my heart tightens. Her mouth widens once she reads the letter. "He wants me to meet him on the roof during lunch. I wonder what he wants."

To make you happiest girl in the world so when I tell you that he's cheating on you, you'll just think I'm jealous. Which I'm not.

"Maybe he made you picnic," Tori chimes in. They both aw and I just want to puke all over them. "We have to go tell Tiffany, if she'll listen."

"Okay," Ariel squeals. She turns back to me and grabs my hands. "I'll talk to you later about whatever you wanted to say. See you later, love."

"Yeah, see ya," I say, half hearted. What's going to happen now? Ugh, why did Beck have to write that stupid letter! What is he up to? I have to get on that roof to find out. And I know who will help.

At the start of lunch, I yank Andre to the side before he entered the cafeteria.

"What the," Andre croaks, placing his hand over where his heart is located. "Ariana, you almost gave me a heartattack!"

I shush him. "Beck is on the roof with Ariel and we need to go see what kind of game he's playing."

"Hey guys." Andre and I jump, thinking we got caught by Beck. I smack the puppet.

"Robbie, you scared the shit out of us!" I whisper-yell. Robbie hugs his stupid urban puppet like it actually has feelings.

"You can't hurt Rex like that," he barks at me. I give him a menancing look. "Nevermind, you can do whatever you whatever you want."

"Oh my goodness, let's just get to the roof, you two," I say, leading the way. I open the door to a stairwell that leads us up there. I take careful, quiet steps so they won't hear.

Clonk! Clonk! Clonk!

I look back at Andre. He shakes his head. I look pass him and see Robbie, stomping his feet up the steps. He looks up at me and smiles.

"Would you keep it down!" I whisper-yell. He nods his head and we continue up the steps. Quieter this time.

Once we reach the door that takes us on the roof, I gently crack it open. I notice there's flowers and plants in rows on the floor. It's so beautiful up here.

"Do you see them?" Andre asks, his lips close to my ear.

"No." I stick my head out and notice even more flowers. How come I never seen this place before?

"This place is so gorgeous, Beck," I hear my sister say. Her voice is coming from the floor under some roof thing that looks like it came from China. Their backs are facing us. I don't think we can move from the stairwell without her hearing us.
