As I say bye to Grace and make my way to Jace and Jake's, I see a bit of movement out of my peripheral vision. I look, but its gone.

I'm surprised, really. Why hasn't anyone tried to turn me in? Return me to my parents? I have been missing for what-3 weeks?

Do they even know?

Oh well. I stop my thoughts of being returned when their house comes into view. I smile and run, excitement turning into energy as I get faster and faster. Once I reach their door, I stop and catch my breath.

I knock, and soon enough, there is the twins. Jace gasps and hugs me, while Jake seems to inch back a little. I hug her back and look at the two. They haven't changed at all!

"What are you doing here Katie?! You're like famous on the news!" Jace screams. I flinch a little. She pulls me inside and rewinds the TV.

Local girl Katie Price still not found after a month. Many presume she is dead, others refuse to accept it. If you see this girl-a picture of me is shown on the TV-please call the local sheriffs office.

I stare at the TV. They haven't given in. I have to keep fighting.

"Katie! What is all this about?! Why aren't you home?!" Jace demands from me. I look at her.

"I ran away, Jace. I met someone I liked. I just regret not staying with them. I just needed to see you guys," I explain. Her expression softens slightly, but she still looks a bit mad.

"So you found someone?" she asks. I nod. "Lets go to my room."

She takes me down the hall and stops at her room. She opens the door and we walk in, and we sit on her bed. "So... Who is this someone?"

"Ah, I knew that was why we were coming back here. Well... I call him Sil. The place I've been staying at has a lot of other cute guys, but I've always sorta felt closer to him. Then, he started acting weird. I was with a different guy, and he was my best friend. We were talking, and suddenly he said we couldn't be friends anymore. A little while later, I kissed him, and left... Then came here. And seen my friends, of course."

She stares at me, then laughs. I look at her with a confused expression, wondering why she's laughing.

"You're so oblivious!" she yells. "He liked you for a while so it seems!"

I still sit there, looking at her like she's crazy. She continue laughing, and I poke her. She yelps and falls off the bed. "What the fuck was that for?!" she whispers so her parents don't hear her.

"Stop laughing at me! It's getting annoying!" I exclaim. She makes a 'pfft' noise and gets back up.

"You were also oblivious to Jake for the longest time. He liked you so much, and decided to tell him you liked him the day before you left. That seems so messed up."

"I know, I just didn't want to make our friendship weird, you know? Like, I already know I won't stay with the first person I date forever. Well, it depends, but like I said, its not likely. I was doing it for the friendship."

"Okay. Whatever. Anyways, what do you plan on doing now?"

Her question catches me off guard. I hadn't thought about that. What do I do now? I can't just go back. I need to keep going until I feel like I can return.

"I'm going to keep going around. I can't go back yet. I sorta left a scene..."

"Okay. Just be careful and don't get caught. I'd hate for you to be forced to go home."

"Yeah. I should get going so I could find somewhere to stay before dark. See ya later!" I say as I leave. She responds with a simple bye as I leave, and I walk towards the nearby bridge.

"Well, here is as good as any," I say as I lay against a pillar. I look to the sky to find nothing but stars, as far as the eye can see.
