Chapter 57

The clock struck two in the afternoon when a police car stopped by in front of her house and two man stepped out from each side of the car and sprinted towards the house immediately which was covered by the banners that said (do not cross) along with some other police cars also surrounding the place.

Louis walked towards the situation and talked with one of the officers that had the area covered. Two to four police cars were scattered along with some policemen.

“Sir, there's a dead body inside that we have found.” One of the officer addressed when he came out from the main door of the house.

Louis quickly went inside along with Seth as they both entered the (not so big yet not so small) house and right after they entered, they spotted a dead body of the woman which lied upon the floor lifelessly when the blood that drained from her body, was all dried already and while being the senior officer on duty, Louis ordered the other officer to call the ambulance quick when he eyed the whole house. Her house was just any other house, filled with things so important for the living. Things to be used in a daily life routine as she wasn't that much rich when her house was an ordinary one as it only had a big lounge in the center, besides it was a kitchen and there were only two rooms. One was on the ground floor whereas another was upstairs.

While Seth silently roamed the cozy yet comfortable house which consist the vibes of a murder, whereas on the either side, Louis searched for the phone through which that the lady stayed connected with him. He searched the whole house for the only helping device currently as soon that he found it in the room, besides some medicines and liquid medical syrups.

After few moments their ears distracted from the voice of the ambulance as it reached after good fifteen minutes and after the ambulance got parked, two men came out with a hospital stretcher and got the lady over it as later that they left along with it. Louis told the boys who took the lady, to remain the body in the iced room while he'll be visiting them afterwards, meanwhile, Seth was being with him, knowing and examining the situation.

After roaming inside the house, their feet led them towards the neighbor as the phone which was owned by the lady? Louis kept it to himself, very safely when he thought to use it furthermore in this sensitive case which was ongoing currently. 

While Louis was talking with the other officers, in the meantime, Seth roamed his eyeballs around the surroundings when they later walked towards another house besides the same one, which was one of the neighbor.

“So that's the house.” They both said in a unison and the officer knocked the door of the neighborhood besides her house as after two knocks, a man in his fifties opened the door with a shock when he greeted the other two men at the door and they entered inside after a little bowing ceremony when the man asked about their introductions in a polite manner.

“Senior Officer Louis Parker and this is my friend Seth.” Louis shook hand with the man in front when he introduced himself and the person who came along with him as later that Louis gently asked further ahead after tilting his head a bit. “Are you the one who called this early morning?”

“Yes. Please, have a seat.” The old man replied when he nicely told them both to sit on the couch which was present in their lounge.

“So, what actually happened?” Louis asked in a serious tone with a deep voice.

“Yesterday, we heard a gunshot and we were so worried.” The old man started. “Months ago, there were being just two ladies who were living in that house so peacefully. When one day? There was this tragedy that later happened with them.” The old man paused when he sighed and prepared himself to talk further ahead. “The same day, the lady went out happily along with her daughter somewhere but when, after hours were passed and they returned to their home? My wife saw that there was a van stopped by in front of the house and few men held that lady. Just the lady only, by her arms when three men were painfully dragging her towards the door. They were saying something to the lady in a loud voice that my wife almost heard it. The words were kind of like this. You won't be having your daughter back or something like that. Those words kind of hinted the fact that they had her daughter kidnapped. We were all so terrified that we never even went to meet her after that incident, as the house later got surrounded by few more of the other men.” The old man paused for a moment when he looked towards the other two males who were seated in front of him as after listening to all that, Louis and Seth sat there while diving in a deep thought when they didn't say a word further ahead, until the old man started talking again. “You must be thinking that where their man is? Let me tell you, her husband died five years ago and she had no relatives besides her. She raised her daughter like a flower in this jungle kind of like cruel world. Those two ladies were so kind, well-mannered and polite. They barely went out anywhere. Her daughter was so sweet and was a great friend of my daughter too. Her daughter was the only girl that I allowed my daughter to talk or hangout with. But from past few months, we saw that, that lady never left the house nor we saw her daughter with herself after that anonymous van stopped by the house.”
