CHAPTER 7 - Two hunters

It had been three days since Keith arrived at the K12 unit, but he hadn't had a chance to talk to Alex until now. The previous day, when Keith went with Anil to the military headquarters in Washington DC, Keith learned through Anil's phone conversation that Alex and Stephan were heading to Allentown, but Stephan and Alex did not report to the K12 unit until the next morning. By the time Keith arrived at the unit after completing his daily training, it was past 9 am. Keith, who got off the elevator and opened the main door and was walking through the information section of the unit, could see Anil coming out of the glass door of the unit common room. He sped toward Coleman's office.

"Stephan and Alex haven't come yet."

Theo said in response to Keith's question.

"Yesterday I got to know that they both were going to Allentown, they should had come from Allentown last night."

Keith said quizzically.

"Not Allentown, the two went from there to Bridgeport."

Theo said.

"I heard Nathan was telling it to Anil"

Theo whispered close to Keith.

"Do you know what was the duty they had to perform?"

Keith asked again.

"A red file has been misplaced in the narcotic department."

Theo pulled a chair near the table in the middle of the common room and sat there.
The Red Files were a series of confidential files from the FBI. Only a few people had permission for those files. A missing red file from the FBI's narcotics division was a serious matter. Because it contained information about drugs in America and everyone involved in them.

Anil must have sent Alex and Stephan on this duty secretly...
That's why Anil scolded yesterday that they shouldn't even go to Allentown without his orders... If they go, it might be because they might get caught...
but now they both have gone..
It might be because they might have found something about the Red File...
Yet now they both are missing..
So Anil is right to be fury...
Fury because of they both have breached his orders and more than that they both are missing !!

Keith said to himself.

Keith was furious at Alex's stubbornness.

"Couldn't even Stephan drag Alex here?"

Keith asked, sitting down next to Theo.

"If Alex and Stephan start chasing about something, they will go after it until they satisfy like two shepherd dogs.... They won't give up..."

Theo said as he cleaned his revolver.

"Both of them have gone to Bridgeport for a reason... Anil knows it although he has got angry and shouted."

Theo continued to wipe his revolver.

Realizing that there was no point in staying here anymore, Keith went to his room. Sitting in his chair, Keith thought for a while about what Theo had said and Anil's reaction. Remembering that he still had many files to study, Keith took a yellow file from his shelf and began his work. Keith spent several hours studying the files. But in his mind he was worried about Alex's missing.

Theo, who entered Keith's room at once and yelled;

"Stephan and Alex are here!"

He left the door of the room and ran.

Keith jumped out of his chair and ran out of the room. Everyone in the unit was gathered near the glass door of the common room.

"Where are the two?"
