The boy dragged himself up from a deep sleep. His eyes were basically closed as he tried to walk. He looked out of his window. The busy city honked and yelled noises into his ears. The busy streets full with the morning rush to work. The people were mostly in suits, holding coffees. He grunted, pulling away towards his closet. He blinked tiredly. There was his school uniform. He put it on, and a beanie. His favourite beanie. It had little ears and was all black. He lived in a tidy apartment with his mother, who he hardly talked to. She was more just a person who lived with him. He looked up at the poster on his wall. It was of his theriotype- a wolf. He picked up his bag, packing his books. He then stuffed a chew toy and his lunch in. He grabbed a bag of cookies and sweets and put them in the bag too. With his loaded bag, he walked out into the kitchen/living room. His mum sat there, ready for work waiting for him.
"What took so long, Alex?!" She grumbled angrily, slamming open the door, "you have school."
The boy- Alex- just grunted, walking out to the elevator. They traveled down in silence, arriving in the car park by the lobby. They walked outside and just got into the car. He watched outside at the rushed street. People walked hurriedly, in their business outfits or uniforms. There was one girl that stuck out to him. She was a bully at his school. Emma. Alex clenched his fists. He looked away, back at the dull black seats of the car. He needed to get to school. They arrived a few seconds later. His school was only a little bit away, in the edge of his city. He nodded briefly to his mum and opened the door. Alex hopped out, walking towards the gates. He instantly noticed Lea, gis classmate, waiting for someone.
"Hey!" She called. She didn't know about his identity. She despised therians and furries.
He nodded a greeting. He really wasn't in the mood to talk to her. All she talked about was boys and how he could help her hook up with one of them. She especially liked Ryan. Ryan was half popular, more well known and quite respected among the school. He kept walking till he felt a hand grab him by the back of his shirt.
"Oi... we found your secret account." Bill sneered.
"What?" Alex gasped. He froze.
"Furry! Furry!" Ryley laughed, pointing at Alex.
"We airdropped it to the whole school." Emma muttered. Alex whipped around.
"No, you.. you.." Alex gasped, tears forming in his eyes.
"Yo, that's why you like that furry beanie so much!" Bill snickered. He wanted to run away and forget that it happened. Bill snatched his beanie, throwing it to Emma. The kids found him weird enough, but now they straight up hated him. He clenched his fists, not believing how quickly everything has happened. He wished he had never made that stupid account.
"I.. I... I.." he stammered, unable to think.
"I I I.. think you should get to class, weirdo." Bill snapped, pushing him. A hand stopped his fall, and Lea said from behind him angrily, "you know I hate furries, and you thought you could walk right past me without explaining yourself."
He just looked down, walking into the building and ignoring the stares and laughs. Why? What did he do to deserve this? He just needed to get this over with. He felt something hit him from behind suddenly. He whipped around. His beanie. He grunted as he picked it up and headed to lesson.
