                                                                                      Dave's pov

As I was watching TV with my wife, we notice headlights in the driveway.

"It's Lilah, I hope she's okay."   Cassi says as we got up.

I got up not long after, as we got to the door she was knocking. I open it and we see a crying Lilah. My heart sank when I saw her tears.

"Honey what's wrong?"   Cassi asks as we bring her in.

"When I first got home, Sammy was making my favorite soup to make up for our little bickerment we had, and when I brought up his temper, he got so mad that he threw his bowl into the kitchen. So with that, I told him I wasn't gonna stay home." Delilah explained as we sat on the couch.

"He didn't hit you did he?" I ask trying to not be mad.

"No sir, just threw the bowl past me and some soup got on me." She says.

"Honey he doesn't need to do that." Cassi says while holding her hand.

"You two wouldn't mind if I stayed for a few days?" She asks.

"Of course not babydoll." I say.

"I'll go make the guest bed and take your bag honey." Cassi says getting up and leaving the living room.

I scooted closer and wrapped a arm around Lilah.

"This isn't the first time he has been angry. I don't like that he has shown violence. I'm afraid that he could hit you." I say.

"I don't think that he would, my guard is up. I can't take a risk." She says.

"I'm just saying that if he does, you better call me and the guys." I say.

"You know that I will." She says.

"I also know he got mad with you over race night." I say.

That made her eyes go wide.
