Tree turns to see an unfamiliar object behind him, standing in the shared nothingness. They walk closer and hold the side of Tree's leaves with one of their hands, a warm smile on their face.
"Black Hole? Is that really you?"
Tree asks in utter disbelief. Black Hole nods and Tree wraps his arms around him in joy.
"You- you look so different! How is this even possible??"
Black Hole laughs.
"I realized when I suck up other contestants, I always see them here. You didn't have to jump off the roof, by the way."
"I know, but I wanted to make it look cool."
Black Hole and Tree both laugh together. Tree starts tearing up.
"...Tree? Everything alright?"
Black Hole strokes the back of his leaves.
"It's just...I never thought we'd be able to do this. I can't believe I'm here with you right now. Holding you. And, y'know, not almost dying."
Black Hole sighs, but doesn't speak a word. He keeps petting Tree's leaves before leaning down and meeting his eyes.
"Black Hole? What are you-"
Black Hole shushes him.
"You don't understand how long I've wanted this."
Black Hole leans in and closes his eyes, his lips meeting Tree's. It was as if stars had collided in that moment and the world shattered around them (In a good way :skull:). Nothing else mattered. Tree leans in closer, Black Hole's hands now on his back. The kiss went on for several seconds that felt like nothing. Black Hole pulls back, a flustered mess and breathing a bit heavily.
"Sorry that was so sudden, I-"
Tree is the one to shush him this time. He pulls Black Hole back into a tight embrace and the two objects close their eyes.
