Twenty-nine

Michael
I woke up and and I was freezing, Calum wasn't next to me and I could hear the girls talking downstairs so he must be with them, I got up and a burning pain went through my tummy, making me whimper a little. I wrapped the fluffy tan comforter around me and trudged downstairs, the comforter sweeping the floor as I walked into the dining area to see Calum in the kitchen whilst Stella and Luna ate waffles at the table. "Morning." I yawned as I sat on a bar stool, the blanket still securely wrapped around me. "Morning." He smiled and walked over to me, putting his hand on my forehead. "You feeling okay babe?" He asked and I nodded, "Why?" I yawned, "You don't look too good." He frowned and I shrugged. "I feel fine." I smiled and then got a burning pain in my tummy again, biting my lip to hold back a whimper. "Okay...." He trailed off and left me alone, "Mummy, can you play with us?" Luna asked. "I'm sorry baby girl, but I'm really tired right now. Maybe later when I'm more awake okay?" I yawned, feeling exhausted. "Okay." She smiled and her and Stella raced off to the bedroom, "If you're tired go back to sleep babe." Calum smiled and I nodded, getting off the stool and trudging to the couch, flopping down on it and curling into a ball as I buried myself under the comforter and fell back asleep.

Michael was looking more exhausted each day, making me worry. "I'm gonna get a drink Cal, do you want anything?" He asked and I shook my head, he got up from the couch and walked away. "C-Calum?" He called and I got up, walking into the kitchen to see Michael gripping onto the counter for dear life, "I-I-I don't feel so good." He stuttered before completely falling backwards and I caught him, he was out cold. I picked him up bridalstyle and took him to the car, driving to Paige, the kids were with Luke and Paige was still in the medical room. I took him inside and knocked on the door,  Paige opening the door and seeing Michael out cold in my arms. "He-he just passed out." I stuttered and laid him on the bed, then he whined in his sleep before his eyes fluttered open. "C-Calum?" He whimpered and I sat next to him, he gripped onto my hand and started crying. "I-it hurts so bad." He sobbed, "What does Mike?" Paige asked as she sat him up, "My-my tummy." He sobbed and then gagged hard, Paige put a bucket under his chin just as he began bringing up stomach bile and...blood?! "P-Paige?" He stammered and she laid him down. She put a mask over his mouth and nose as she told him to take deep breaths, making him fall asleep in seconds. "Calum, you need to leave." Paige whispered and I nodded without arguing.

I woke up in the medical room, a small stinging in my tummy and I felt a tube in my nose that was helping me breath, I also realized I had an IV in my had. "I wanna see mummy!" I heard Stella shriek and I looked at the door, seeing it was open a little. "Stella?" I called out, my voice weak. "Mummy!" She cried and ran to me, carefully jumping on the bed and wrapping her arms around me. "I-I-I was so scared mummy!" She sobbed and I held her to my chest, rocking her slightly. "I'm fine baby girl, I'm perfectly fine." I cooed as I rubbed her back, Calum and Luna walked in and immediately rushed over to me. "I'm perfectly fine guys. Don't worry." I grinned and kissed everyone's cheeks, "What was it exactly?" I asked. "You had some dead tissue in your stomach and Paige had to take tissue from your heart to fix it." Calum whispered and I nodded, slightly scared. Luna and Stella left the room and Calum handed me a tan inhaler, "Wh-what's this for?" I coughed. "You're heart's weaker now and if you get really scared, you need the inhaler to get your breathing back to normal." He explained and I nodded, looking at the inhaler and tossing it from hand to hand.
