Next morning...

After having some breakfast we quickly left the inn.

I was thinking of what would my mom say to me when we got back home. I guess there will be shoutings and madness in the house.

After hours of driving....

The car stopped in front of the mansion, I was kind of hesitating to get out of the car. I took a deep breath and stepped out of the car.

Oh no! Mom is already waiting at the front door and it looks like she's frowning at me. I really hate this!

I was kind of scared as I approach my mom.

"I've been so worried about you two." She smiled at Karl but not at me, she threw me a sharp look.

Ugh! Is this all my fault?!

Karl went to his room, I followed Mom into the balcony.

......

"Alex! Where did you go? I was really worried yesterday! You're in big trouble young lady!"

"But...mom."

"Don't dare talk back! Promise me you'll never do this again!"

This! I hate having arguments with mom. When I'm going to say something she will tell me not to talk back! She never listen! I was going to explain, not talk back! What is wrong with the world?!

I went to my room and lie on my bed. I'm tired, so tired in fact.

I really miss my friends, I want to go back home.
My birthday will come in a few weeks, I'm gonna turn 16 and I know that I'm not gonna have a party because mom's too busy to plan things for me.

I missed how me and my mom used to be before she worked for the royal family.
She always have time for me, now, she barely have time.

I locked my bedroom's door, I don't really want to see anybody right now.

"Alex, would you like something to eat?"

"No, I'm not in the mood of eating right now." I answered stubbornly.

"I'm sorry, this is my fault, I shouldn't have gotten you into this trouble."

Wait a second, is Karl the one I'm talking to? Ohmygosh. I'm so stupid, I should have noticed.

"Ok, I'm gonna go now, I think you don't really want to talk to me."

I heard his footsteps walking away. And I'm sure I'm hearing another footsteps going near my room.

"Alex, I need you to do something for me."

"What is it?"

"You'll have to take Prince Karl out. Promise me, you will not get into any trouble and you'll come home before 7:00 p.m. ok?"

"Ok, fine, whatever."

Another stupid and nonsense day with Karl.
