“What if the plane crashes today?” Zaisha spoke with a hint of fear in her voice. She sat in the passenger seat with her hand gathered, chanting a prayer.
She has a fear of planes and even if she travels a thousand times in an airplane, her fear is still as frightening as it was since day 1.
“Then don't go.” I suggest as I get out of my seat and open the door for her to get out.
“But it's important. I'm getting an award.” She says, jumping a little in excitement. A smile formed on my face and I ruffled her hair.
“I'm proud of you. And, Maa is with you, you will be fine.” I say while leaning against the car, waiting for mom and dad.
Aisha is getting an award for a movie she did, and mom is accompanying her. She even asked Kainaat who politely denied. My love is still sad, and the fact that she still hasn't cried makes my heart squeeze.
Almost everybody met her, except me. This past month has been nothing but a nightmare that I lived with my eyes wide open. Everyone was allowed to meet her except me and her mom.
But three days ago, she talked to her mom and everything was settled between them.
Now, I am just waiting for my turn.
“But I would miss your birthday, bhai.” She sulked.
Ah. My birthday.
28. Damn, I'm getting old.
“I'm a call away. Now tell me, who the fuck is that guy who is always around you? You did a song with him.” I narrow my eyes at her and wrap my arm around her shoulder.
“Oh he's an asshole. We did a song, he was flirting with me the whole time and during the promotions he tried to be so touchy, don't worry though I totally dodged him.”
“Name?”
“Don't worry, bhai. I am already on my way to get him blacklisted.” She wiggles her eyebrows.
I roll my eyes at her words. Of Course, she would do something like this.
“I have a question.” She says.
“Ask.”
“Why did you name me Zaisha? I don't even know what it means.”
“I don't know what it means, but I suggested Aisha which means life, but bhai wanted to add Z in it because then it would be unique.” A frown formed on her face at my words.
