Reyaansh's POV

“Where are you?” Kainaat immediately asked in a breathy voice, a fright of fear lingering in her tone.

My lips spread in a smirk at her worry, I can be just an hour late from office, and she starts worrying about me.

“Just five minutes, love.” I say.

“Jaldi Ghar aao.” She says and cuts the call as I accelerate faster towards my home.

I have to follow my Madam's orders.

“Delicious!” My wife's amused voice takes my attention as I walk inside my room.

“It is so good! Do you want to try it?” Kainaat's voice fills with enthusiasm as she holds a tiny spoon in her hand with a small bowl of mashed bananas.

This woman hates most food known to men, there are only a few dishes that she likes, and her introducing solids to our daughter was the scariest part.

I am afraid she herself would make a face to many of the dishes before kaira would even consider having them.

I try not to make a single sound and carefully lean against the door to see my wife acting like she loves bananas.

Kaira, My daughter, stares at my love with those big dreamy eyes. Eyes that are the perfect mixture of her mother's and mine.

I feel my heart fluttering against my ribcage while looking at these two.

Kaira stares back at her mum, her hands up in the air. A smile lifts my face to see my seven months old daughter.

“Here, try it, baby” Kainaat spoon-feeds a mashed banana to Kaira frowns, and immediately stares at it as if the most interesting thing in the world,

She slowly opens her mouth to taste it; however, her eyes scrunch up at the taste, and she leans back immediately, kainaat takes a tissue and wipes her mouth.

“You didn't like it?” Kaira holds the spoon in her shaky hands and drops it on the table, Kainaat takes it with a sigh and utters,

“Ansh, your daughter is a picky eater like you.” My wife's voice makes a wicked smile appear on my face.

Of course, she sensed my presence.

“Like me?” My eyes narrowed, “Really? Such a liar wife I got.”

She glares at me and sighs back in the chair, her hair tied in a messy bun and a patch of drool on the shoulder of her beige T-shirt.

She is exhausted. Having a baby is no joke, there are rare moments when we are not sleep-deprived,

Especially Kainaat, this woman is so hard-working and never complains.

I may sometimes guilt-trip my mom into believing that They are not being good grandparents, consequently mom and dad can take Kaira for a day out.

Just so Kainaat could rest.

I love my daughter, no questions asked, but the little devil needs attention 24/7, And as a human, we are tired.

I fill a glass with water for my wife and pass it to her, in return she kisses my cheek as I take a seat next to her.

“I love you.” I confess, and her face brightens, a red hue creeping over her cheeks.

Kaira's eyes shined upon seeing me, and she lifted her arm, indicating to me to hold her. “Dada” She mumbles softly.

I take my baby in my arms, who giggle softly as she holds my holds in her little hands.
