4- Faulting

Imani

I woke up in the hospital hooked to all these wires. I called a nurse so she can come in my room. I was confused about everything, especially to why I was in the hospital.  I saw a nurse come around the corner then in my room.

" Hello! Imani Hopkins? " The nurse said.

" Yes ma'am. " I responded.

" Ok great, I'm Nurse Evans! Glad to see your awake."

" Yeah um why am I inside a hospital right now? "

" What do you mean silly? You don't remember? "

" No. " I said slowly.

" Alright. "  Nurse Evans said worriedly.

" Do you remember what happened two days ago? "

" Um no ma'am."

" What about 2 weeks ago? "

" No. "

" Okay I'll be back in one second. " She said and then walked off quickly.

Sa'Kai

" Family of Imani Hopkins? " The doctor said and we stood up.

" Ok great so I have some good news and some bad news. What would you like to hear first? "  The lady said.

" Good news first " I said.

" So Imani is up and awake." The doctor told us.

" But she has short term memory loss. In other words Amnesia. "

" She does not remember anything from two weeks ago so most likely she won't remember anything from a month or two ago. "

" My advice is to try and get her to remember things but obviously catch her up on everything. I wouldn't tell everything to her at once since she is still fragile. I say tell her what happened from one day today and the so on and so on. "

I know that sounds confusing as hell but I don't know how to explain y'all 😭

" So she probably not gon remember me? "  I said after she was done.

" She might honestly." She said.

" Aight cool, where Kameron at? " I asked.

" She hasn't woken up yet so we can't have anyone go in there. " 

" Aight bet. "

Omniscient

A doctor walked in Kamerons room to check is she was awake. Fortunately she was up but struggling to move making the doctor go get Sa'Kai. Kameron suffered from 3 broken bones, one being in her arm, another one being in her finger, and the last one being in her rib. Kameron overall felt completely fine besides the struggling to move. Kameron felt as if anything happened to her sister then it was completely all her fault, which it was. Kameron knew her family wasn't going to baby her and tell her it wasn't her fault. That's what made it worse. All she needed was a little bit of confirmation that her sister was gonna be okay. She was praying her sister didn't fault her for this because she truly felt horrible for putting her 16 year old sister through this. Now since she put her sister in danger she knew some of Kameron privileges for taking Imani and letting her live with her would be provoked. She wished she would've slowed down. She wished she wouldn't even had went home. She regretted everything that evening. She just wanted to sob in somebody's arms. Im sure we all know who that somebody is.

" Kam? " Sa'Kai said.

" It's all my fault Sa'Kai. " Kameron said with teary eyes.

" It's gon be okay gigi. Imani is still gon love you after this and you know it. " He said. Giselle is her middle name so most people she's close with call her gigi.

" What if it's no after Kai. What if she's gone. It's gonna be all my fault if something happens. I'm sorry Imani. " She said now sobbing in his arms just like she wanted.

" Kameron it's aight. She up she just got amneka. It's not een severe like dat for real. "

" Amnesia? " She said while chucking a little bit.

" Shid you know what I meant damn. "

" Do your hoes know your hugging me like this? " She said making herself chuckle a little harder.

" Mane get up off me "

" Ok ok stop ima chill "

" You think yo big peanut ass is funny till I knock that lace back in place. " Sa'Kai said.

" Oh shit them is some BARSSS. " He also said making hisself and Kam bust out laughing.

" Stop I can't laugh. " She said trying to keep her laugh in.

" I'm fucking hilarious " Kai said.

" Sa'Kai? "

" Hm? "

" You wanna know sum? "

" What? "

" Well , i- I THINK I LIKE THIS LITTLE LIFE OF MINE " Kameron said replicating the TikTok.

" Mmcht dawg your a weirdo."

" But you like my weird ways. "

After that they talked some more until they both fell asleep in the bed. Kameron felt better knowing she and somebody on her side. She liked Kai even more and so did he.

Is this gonna be the night that starts it all?
