I screamed looking in my emails which made my mom and sister run to my room.
" What happened baby!!!!! " My mom yelled.
" Right " Imani co signed. Imani is my sister, my best friend and just overall my everything. When I get my apartment she's gonna stay with me Thursday to Sunday.
" I got accepted into 2 apartments ma!!!!! " I yelled.
" AHH IM FINNA LIVE WITH MY SISTERRRRRR!! " Imani said excitedly.
My mom laughed while me and Imani danced.
" They told me that I can view the apartments today!!!! "
" You going now? " Imani asked.
" Should I?? " I asked.
" YES!" My mom and sister said in unison.
I laughed and began to get myself together after they left. I wore a black one piece with a red puffer jacket to bring some color in. I rubbed my cocoa butter and body oil on. I went downstairs grabbed my keys.
" LOVE YALL ILL BE BACK!" I yelled
I heard their faint voices saying I love you too so I went on with my day. My sister couldn't come since she had homework to do so I invited my best friend Kaylani. I called her to let her know I was outside. She came out the house looking gooooooddddddd.
" HEYY BESTTTT!!" I yelled
She replied the same and we drove to the destination of the apartment. We walked inside asking the lady in the front to open the door. We got in the elevator and started to take pictures in the elevator. We walked to the apartment door. I screamed and ran inside happily.
" THIS IS MINE!!!!! " I said, tears filling my eyes.
" IM SO PROUD OF YOU BABYYYY " My best friend said while hugging me tightly.

After taking in what's a mine , they gave me the key. I wanted to move in this week so we had to do thinks quick. Me and Kaylani went to target to grab some cleaning supplies and some appliances. Kaylani went to go look at curtains and some small necessities. I saw a candle but I couldn't reach it. I asked the person next to me who I quickly recognized. It was Kai.
" Excuse me, can you hand me that candle please? "
He didn't say anything but he grabbed it and handed it to me. I said thank you and walked off.
" Hol up come back . " he said
" Yea? " I replied back
" I'm sorry bout last night. We ain't even tg nd ian even know she had my phone tbh." He said truthfully.
" It's good." I replied dryly not tryna hear this bullshit.
" Whatchu you doing today?" He asked.
" Decorating my apartment " I said.
" Lemme come help you." He said with that dumbass smirk on his face.
" I got my best friend wit me. " I said so he can leave me tf alone.
" I got smb fa ha don't worry ma. " He said convincingly.
" Okay ima send you the lo." I said giving in.
" Ight ima call you when I get dere. " He ugly ass said.
" Okay see you then " I said and walked off smiling. I had some shit to catch my best friend up on.

Me and Kay went back home for a little bit to change in some comfy clothes since we would practically be there all night working and decorating. Once we got there we almost immediately got to work. Kaylani's job was to sweep the floor while my job was to clean the counters. After 15 minutes of us being there we heard a knock on the door and we already knew who it was. During those 15 minutes, I already had let Kay in on all the tea that was happening with Sa'Kai and his ex-fling Nia.

I opened the door not surprised to see Sa'Kai and his friend. Me and Kaylani looked at each other giving the " They're fine " look. I greeted Sa'Kai with a hug and his friend with a smile respecting his boundaries. I told them they can sit on the barstool. I already ordered my bed and all my furniture a month prior when I found out that I had a possibility getting the apartment so they were just sitting in the living room floor waiting to be opened. I told Kai to open my bed frame and headboard up so he can put it together. He sucked his teeth.
" Boy you wanted to help right? "
He waved me off and I said " Oh okay then. " while rolling my eyes.
After 2 hours we were practically done with the apartment being that the couch, my bed, my dressers and my tv were all put together. I was low key happy that he decided to come over and help ya girl cause if it was just me and Kay.. it would've took days to accomplish. I hate to admit but I was definitely grateful that my apartment was more than halfway finished within less than 24 hours because of Kai. Seeing Sa'Kai help me out tremendously made me look at him differently. He was finer than before and trust he was fine before.
I told them that they can sit down outside if they wanted to smoke or in the hangout room.
While they were outside talking me and Kay decided to finish decorating my room by putting all the extra things on which were my bed sheets and comforter, my paintings, plants, led lights, makeup , wigs and much more. It didn't take us long being that they were small items. I wanted my room to be black and white since the apartment was mostly gray and white so I wanted to match and throw some black in. Once I finished my room, I took a picture to show my mom.
After that I called the boys in my room to show them and they fucked with it. I started to get tired so I went in my room and tried to doze off. I felt someone get into the bed with me and it was Kai. I smiled and dozed off into a deep sleep.
