Chapter 2

"OK everyone take a break." I grab my water bottle and sit down.

"Are you just going to ignore me?"

"Mhm." I'm not ready to come to term with the fact that I was mated to a alpha. I'll take a omega because then I don't have to worry about him getting all possessive. "What do you want me to say?"

I look at him and raise a eyebrow.

"It's not like I'm going to fall at your feet."

"I didn't say that."

"You didn't have to." I stand up and sigh. "Listen I don't want to pursue whatever this is. I rather forget this even happen."

"Very well."

"Glad we can come to an understanding."

I walk away and head back to the house. I just did that.

I don't believe in the mate bond. Not now, not ever. So many shit happen on my life that I can't see the mate bond the same again. Putting trust in the bond is hard for me. Dad understand. He don't expect me to welcome my mate with open arms. Hell he's not even expecting grandkids.

"Hey are you OK?"

"I'm good Mandy. Just need to let off some steam."

"I know you found your mate. But it will be our little secret."

I smile at her. I was grateful for her.

"But you're not going to the gym to blow no steam. We're going shopping."

"I don't want to rub against no humans."

"Come on. Loosen up a bit."

"OK fine. I'll go shower and then I'll meet you by the car."

"That's more like it." I roll my eyes and head inside. I head upstairs for a hot shower. My muscles were screaming.

I soon step out of the shower and was surprised to see Keiran.

"What are you doing here?"

"Sit."

"You don't get to tell me what to do."

"Sit the fuck down Delythena." I narrow my eyes at him. "I don't have fucking time for this."

I roll my eyes and sit down.

"Hurry up I got some shopping to do."

"I'm going home. I don't know what is going on but I'm going to give you some time."

"I don't need time."

"What the fuck do you mean by that?" He stand up angrily.

"I've made my mind up! That's what I mean. Why can't you understand."

"What I don't understand is why? Why you pushing me away?"

"Be cause I'm scared! This shit never work out! This mating isn't real. I'm not going to risk my heart for because the Moon Goddess said this is the way things should be"

"When you're ready to talk you're free to enter my territory."

I watch him leave and I felt like pulling my hair out. Why is this so hard?
