Being a vampire at Nevermore Academy had its perks. I would often wander the school and its grounds at night exploring every nook and cranny. I found the solitude and the darkness oddly comforting. I had only become a vampire ten years ago so I was still seen as a baby in our circles. These long night walks helped me to gather my thoughts and come to terms with the long, possibly lonely, life that lay ahead of me.
My appetite for blood was also something I was still learning to control. Luckily the vampires at Nevermore never went hungry for long thanks to the synthetic blood drinks available in the canteen and the rich amount of wildlife in the grounds. But nothing could beat the taste of real human blood, it was like ecstasy for us. Even just the slightest scent of it made us ravenous.

I never suffered from fatigue either so even when I had been up all night I was still able to pay attention in classes the next day, if I felt like it. My favourite lesson was alchemy, mainly because the person teaching it was the most gorgeous creature I'd ever seen. Morticia Addams. She had infinitely long smooth black hair, eyes as dark as the night sky and perfectly shaped lips painted with ebony lipstick. Her long trailing black dresses made her look like she floated on air and showed off every curve of her hourglass figure. Her sultry voice sent shivers down my spine every time she spoke, especially when she said my name.
Another thing you should know about us vampires is that our heightened senses make us extra lustful and when we see something, or someone, we like we'll stop at nothing to have it.

Ms. Addams flirted with practically everyone but she often paid special attention to me with a knowing smile or "accidental" touch, an extra compliment or even just a cheeky wink.
"You're such a tease Ms. Addams" I thought to myself.

One day she asked me to stay behind after her class, so I approached her desk once the other students had left.
"I wanted to speak to you about your latest assignment Ms. Cole" she said firmly.
"What about it?" I replied.
She placed the paper in front of me and folded her arms, "I had to give you a D. It's not up to your usual standard. You're normally so thorough and precise but this seemed rushed and careless."
"I'm sorry I've just been a little...distracted lately" I said honestly.
"What's been distracting you so much my dear?" she asked, but as she leaned over her desk in concern my mouth went dry as I could see down her dress and the valley of her breasts.
"I-I-...it's nothing Ms. Addams. I'm sure I'll snap myself out of it soon".
A wicked grin crawled across her face, my wandering eyes must have been a dead giveaway to what was really distracting me.
"Oh darling. You mustn't let anything distract you from your education. What would Principal Weems say?" she leaned in closer to me over the desk, enticing me with her words. I could faintly hear her pulse and smell her perfume. I clenched my jaw and balled my fists.
"Oh god stop! Please!" I thought, trying to hold onto my self control.
She knew exactly what she was doing and was loving toying with me. But seeing my struggle she straightened up and fell back into 'teacher mode'.
"I'll give you one more chance on this assignment because I know you can do better" she said kindly.
But before I had the chance to thank her she said, "why don't you come to my quarters later tonight for some extra tuition?"
I gulped.
"I...um...I..."
"7pm tonight, don't be late".

For the rest of the day I thought of nothing else but my 'extra tuition' with Ms. Addams. I was excited but also terrified, I knew I wouldn't be able to control myself if she made even the slightest move on me.
"Maybe it's all innocent and she just wants to help" I tried to tell myself, but I had to plan ahead. At lunchtime I disappeared into the forest and hunted a deer to make sure I was well fed, but the thought of tasting her blood never left my mind.

7pm came and I stood outside Ms. Addams's door with my fist raised, too afraid to knock.
"Come in" she called, how did she know I was there?
I peeked my head around the door. She was standing by the fireplace, a half-drunk glass of red wine in her hand.
"Hi Ms. Addams".
"Good evening sweetheart. Make yourself at home" and she gestured to the leather couch in front of the fire. There was a stack of books on the coffee table, each one related to the alchemy assignment.
"Would you like a drink? I got some synthetic blood just for you" she offered.
"Um...yes please" and she poured the red liquid into a wine glass for me.
She sat next to me on the couch and told me to get the first book from the pile. We went through a few of the key points and the assignment was starting to make sense now. I felt more at ease too and my mind was distracted from my bloodlust...but not for long.
