Tumblr request: hi there, i hope you're having a good day :D. i was hoping to request a Lerissa/Reader fic. One where they start dating and falling deeply in love with one another, and things are going really well until Larissa's insecurities about not being good enough cause her to self sabotage and end the relationship unexpectedly. if possible, could it be so deliciously angsty, could also be H/C of you'd like. thank you so much, i hope this isn't too much to ask.

Trigger warnings: feeling inferior, heated argument, self-destruction, drinking, crying.

"I love you" you told Larissa.
"I love you too darling" she replied, looking at you with her adoring blue orbs.

You and Larissa had been dating for a few months now and you had never been happier. It was love at first sight when she literally bumped into you at the Weathervane and spilled her coffee all down your shirt, like a scene from a cheesy romcom.
It didn't take very long for you to fall for each other and on your third date you both dropped the L bomb. From then on you spent most of your free time together, knew almost everything about each other and had passionate sex every night. You were both completely addicted and deeply in love.

Larissa's job as the Principal of Nevermore Academy had been a huge part of her life for many years. You admired how dedicated she was but couldn't stand seeing her so stressed out by it all. But instead of locking herself away and drowning her sorrows in red wine like she usually did on a bad day she now had you to vent to. You'd let her rant, cry, scream, or whatever she needed to do release the tension. She constantly felt disrespected by the students and undermined by her peers. But she didn't know how wrong she was about this, the students actually had a great deal of respect for her and the school board held her in very high regard. She was just too blind to see it.

Poor Larissa was riddled with insecurity ever since her days as a hard-working student at Nevermore. Despite her absolute best efforts she never felt like she was good enough. There was always someone smarter, prettier or more talented that would outshine her. She was never first choice either and frequently had to settle for second best.
She didn't have many friends at school and the ones she did have treated her like their lapdog, mainly Morticia Addams. She swore to herself she would not let anyone treat her that way ever again, but that nagging insecurity of not being good enough never went away.

Larissa invited you to be her plus one for a prestigious gala event at Nevermore. Local authority figures, governors, staff and alumni would all be in attendance. You were anxious about going because you were a normie and hadn't lived in Jericho for long so you didn't know much about the area or the school.
"Don't worry darling. Just be your normal charming self and everything will be fine" Larissa reassured you, "you'll probably be able to offer a fresh perspective because you're new here".
"I didn't think of that actually" you said, "you really think I'm charming?"
Larissa chuckled, "of course I do. It's one of the many many reasons I love you".
She kissed your cheek, leaving a red lipstick mark behind.

On the night of the event Larissa walked in proudly with you on her arm. You stuck to her like glue for the first hour then she encouraged you to mingle freely. She kept an eye on you as she socialised and felt a sense of pride as she watched you chat with people. They were all curious about Larissa's other half and wanted to get to know you. Luckily most people were friendly and chatty, sharing stories about Larissa and singing her praises. You too felt a swell of pride.

As the evening progressed Larissa was surprised to see you still socialising, she thought you would have gravitated back to her by now. But everyone seemed to be talking to her about you now, telling her how lovely, intelligent and charming you were. She couldn't help but feel a little jealous at the respect you'd already gained, she'd worked tirelessly for years to earn that and here you were doing it so effortlessly.
