Ricky waited on the side of the road for a bus that would take him to a new hell. His parents got into a car accident, and well, things didn't go well for them.

As he waited he noticed how dark this town was. There was no sunlight only grey clouds. It was also really fucking cold. Ricky was thanking God, or Satan, that the bus had pulled up so he would no longer be freezing his ass off.

The bus came to a rough stop, the doors opened and Ricky walked up the two steps and on to the bus. Of course the first thing he received was strange looks. He gradually made his way to the back of the bus, avoiding all people.

Ricky was unaware of all the people on the bus being loud and generally obnoxious. He was lost in his own head starring out the window. Trees would go by like blurs, cars would pass, birds would fly by, but Ricky only had one thing on his mind.

Only a few blocks later the bus stopped again, doors opening and letting four gothic teens aboard. They made their way to the back, the two girls sat in the seat across from Ricky and the other two guys sat down next to Ricky.

"A new one, exciting!" The one sat next to Ricky said.

"Don't be creepy Josh." The other guy said. Ricky was having what he thought was a heart attack.

"I'm Devin, you can call me ghost though. That's Josh, don't worry though he's not that bad." Ricky looked at the two guys next to him.

"I-I'm Ricky." He stuttered out looking at the two of them.

"I'm Ash, this is Maria." The girl on the outside of the seat across from them said.

"Nobody cares Ash." Josh looked over at the two girls.

"Shut up, Balz." Maria laughed a little at that one.

"So tell us about yourself." Josh turned to Ricky.

"Uh-I moved from New Jersey." Ricky didn't like being cornered and this is what it felt like.

"Why would you move here? It's a creepy shithole to be honest." Josh was very outgoing and upfront about things, obviously.

"It's not that bad, I happen to like the creepy aesthetic." Ghost looked rather offended about how someone could hate the horrors of this town.

"My parents, um, they thought it would be a good idea." Ricky didn't think telling people he just met that his parents were in fact, deceased, was good idea.

The bus came to a stop but this time it was at Ricky's least favorite place, school. He followed his new friends out of the bus and into the school.

"I need to get my schedule at the main office and I have no idea were that is." Ricky looked over to ghost.

"Follow me." Ghost took Ricky's arm and led him down a hall.

"Josh is kind of-" Ricky was cut off.

"Weird. yeah he loves new people so he tends to be all over them." They walked down the long ass hallway.

"Yeah, um, I-I don't like being cornered or surrounded." Ricky trailed off.

"I'm sorry, I'll make sure he doesn't make you to uncomfortable." Ghost looked over to Ricky with a sort of empathetic look.

"You have the same classes as Ash and Maria, they're fuckin rad though don't worry." Josh said.

"Come with us we'll show you around." Ash said grabbing Ricky and taking off with him. They walked down a hall full of lockers and teenagers.

"Okay first is biology, it's pretty shitty honestly." Maria led him into a class room and took a seat in the back. Ash sat next to her and Ricky ended up sitting at the table across from them, alone. Not that he minded at all.
