Ace's pov :

It was a cold autumn morning as I sat up in bed, my long brunette hair falling over my face. I yawned as I pushed it out of my face and looked around, the light was slightly pouring into my dark room, as I stumbled out of bed, almost knocking my deck of cards off of my nightstand.
"Damnit." I grumbled as I started getting dressed.

I put my clothes on as I brushed my hair and looked at myself in the mirror,

My father was going to totally degrade me for wearing what he called a "whore" shirt, but it isn't like I cared, I would wear what I want to wear

My father was going to totally degrade me for wearing what he called a "whore" shirt, but it isn't like I cared, I would wear what I want to wear. I slipped my converse on along with some jewelry and threw my Walkman, cigarettes and some tapes in my bag as I slung it over my shoulder as I raced down the steps of my house. My family was pretty wealthy but I wasn't one to exploit it, unlike my brother Tommy. He was "beloved" by all the school and my father. As I walked into the kitchen, there sat my mother at the kitchen table reading a magazine, tired from the fight that my dad and her had.
My dad sat at the head on the table drinking coffee and reading the news paper, and next to him sat my spoiled brother, eating a waffle.

My father looked up from the paper and scoffed, "Ace, how many times have I told you about wearing stuff like that. You look like a slut."

I clenched my fist and gritted my teeth, "Did I ask?"
Tommy rolled his eyes and spoke up though a mouthful of food, "Dad's right Ace, you look like a slut."

"Whatever. I have school." I mumbled as I grabbed a frozen waffle and walked straight for the door.

I heard a chair move and Tommy followed me out, we had to share a car so that meant we have to ride together, whoopee.
I scoffed as I pushed my hair out of my face and got into the car, Tommy following me closely.
"So little sis, you on your period or something?" He asked in a cocky tone as I started the car.

My eyes narrowed and I took a deep breath,.

"Do you ever shut up, Tommy?"
He laughed as I pulled the car out and started the grueling drive to school

As we drove, "Hot blooded." By the Foreigner, played softly on the radio and I kept the car at a fast pace as we sped down the street, the hum of the car and music overriding my brother's rambling. I can't with him.
As Tommy and I pulled up to Hawkins High, the morning mist clung to the brick facade of the school, creating an eerie atmosphere. The exterior, worn by years of teenage rebellion, painted a picture of a typical high school. I stepped out of the car, the cold air biting at my skin, only to be startled by the roar of an approaching engine.

A vintage blue Camaro with a California license plate came screeching to a halt inches away from me. My heart raced as I shot an irate glare at the reckless driver. Out stepped a guy with disheveled, golden locks, embodying a rebellious charm. His eyes locked onto mine, and without missing a beat, I nicknamed him 'Goldilocks.' A young girl, about in middle school with fire red hair got out of the front passenger seat with a skateboard and then zoomed off.
