Shirabu was always a smart student. He's always been top of his class, never got anything below a ninety five, and on top of that, he was a pretty damn good setter for Shiratorizawa's volleyball team.
Shirabu's never felt as much competition for a starting position than he did when it came to Semi Eita, an upperclassman, a year older than Shirabu. After Semi had graduated, Shirabu could finally focus on being the best he could and training the new first year setter than a petty competition between the two.
Shirabu graduated at the top of his class and as the volleyball team captain, which granted him hundreds of scholarships from schools all over Japan.
After spending the summer relaxing and taking a break with his best friend, Taichi, Shirabu realizes how his life is changing, this is a big step for him and his career. A month before college starts, he writes a to-do list for the following semester:

- make a good impression
