chapter 8

Lynix POV

Doni stopped crying a bit ago, we were loosely hugging each other. He sniffled a bit but otherwise he was still. I swayed us left and right for comfort. After a while I tried to pull away but he just whined and clung to me tighter.
,,you know we'll have to talk, even when you're hiding by hugging me" he just whined as a response. I chuckled lightly and patted his back. I picked him up and moved us so he was sitting with his back to the others.
,,you wanna turn around for us?" I asked, he obviously knew that wasn't a question.
,,but I get to sit on your lap and you're still hugging me right?" He asked, not wanting to let go
,,of course!" I replied quickly, I also wanted to get that talk away as fast as possible. He slowly let go of me and turned around, facing the others in that room. My hands quickly found a spot across his stomach, hugging him tightly, he let himself fall back against my chest, letting out a sigh of relief. The other waited patiently for us to get comfortable.

No one's POV

The group was scattered across the room, some sitting in chairs or leaning against a table, the others sitting on the ground.
,,how should we start?" Bionic started, breaking the tense atmosphere in the room,
,,when and how it started maybe?" Kiply suggested, the others quickly agreed and turned to doni, who was sitting comfortably and looking at the floor.
,,uh i-i think it started when you guys ignored me... And then yelled at me... What you said was I think the start..." Doni shifted uncomfortably and didn't look up once, it was clear that wasn't an easy subject for him. Lynix hugged him closer and doni visibly relaxed a bit.
,,wait... Ignored? When?" quiff looked confused, everyone, except liger and bionic, looked at the ground, shifting a bit.
,,uh doni said that the others were ignoring him because of a prank, I don't know what it was about but I helped lynix re build his house when I first found him." Liger said, clearing up quiffs and probably also bionics confusion.
,,'first found him'?" Lynix asked, now curious what happened
,,yeah, when I excused myself and went somewhere, I went to Doni's house, he was having a panic attack and scratched his arms open, I don't think he actually registered doing that, did you?" Liger explained, again, everyone turned to doni, hoping for him to clear the confusion. He nodded and an embarrassed blush spread across his face.
Lynix sighed and doni tensed again, thinking he'd done something wrong.
,,are you guys mad at me?" Doni asked, his voice small and scared, no one knew they'd ever see doni like this.
,,what? No no no of course not! Why would we be mad?" Linyx quickly shushed him and set his chin on Doni's shoulder.
,,I got problems from something I did..." Kiply came a bit closer and kneeled down besides doni and placed a hand on his knee
,,it's our fault... We shouldn't have reacted that way" she reassured him and decided her new spot was besides doni.
Doni just nodded, not knowing what else to do.
,,second question, why did you run away?" Liger continued. He gained the attention from everyone, who turned back to doni. He just shrugged and truthfully said
,,i was scared to talk, and though I'm acting like an attention seeker..."
,,so your best choice was to run away??" Rage asked somehow confused. As a reply, he only got a nod back. Doni seemed embarrassed and turned his head away from the other, but lynix quickly turned it back with one of his hands, that were still resting on his stomach. He accepted his fate but still looked to the ground.
,,now third question, why did you cry earlier in the kitchen?" Liger continued, breaking the awkward atmosphere again.
,,I uh... I saw a picture of me and you guys together and I thought you guys hated me and never wanted to talk to me again, or worse, wanted me dead..." doni replied ashamed
,,we would never want you dead! Never think that!" Rage retorted, kiply and lynix nodding.
,,oh..." Was all that doni could get out.
,,and why did you cry in my arms like that right before we started the questions?" Lynix asked curious.
,,I... Felt loved and cared for..." Lynix cooed and cuddled doni closer to himself, hiding his face in his neck
,,are we done now?" Doni was most definitely done with the questions.
,,I guess..." Bionic said after no one said anything.
Doni quickly turned around and snuggled his face into lynix's neck, who just hugged him tighter, obviously not wanting to ever let him go.
,,let's get back to the village?" Liger and kiply asked, not knowing what to do now. Doni quickly shook his head and lynix silently told everyone to come cuddle him, he deserved the next few hours that were just cuddling, kiply and rage attempting,keyword 'attempting', to make food and a big movie marathon. Doni wished it never ended but they had to return to the village. To Doni's luck, they never stopped pampering him, he also stopped pranking (so much, he could never completely stop pranking).

how did you guys like it? Its all longer chapter than I usually do, and this time I activated some kind of writing help that gives you better examples of sentences. I hope you liked that book and I'll probably start another one shot or something
