chapter 20 - Bad News

Nate's pov
It was almost time to knock off from work ,when I received a call from David.
" What's up bro ". David greeted me.
" What's up David".
" So are we still hanging out or what ,you busy,come by my place will get takeout food".
I chuckled a little bit .
" Dude isn't Abigail with you ".
" No I went at her place to talk to her mom about the wedding so am home alone now ,and it's boring,you are my best buddy am sure you can't say no".
"You are really something else".
Then I was receiving another call from Mr Evans,hmm I wonder why.
" Hang on a second am receiving a call from Mr Evans".
" Ooh father in-law."
" Shut up David".
" Alright take your time".

" Yes , father good evening how may I help you".
" Nate ,I have bad news ".
" Bad News, what do you mean".
No wonder I wasn't feeling right today.
" It's Vicky she ...Nate she's" Mr Evans said while crying he continued to say .
" She's fighting for her life, please hurry ".
I dropped the phone ,I don't know what to do, I couldn't move, think, process what he just said,then I remembered the last time I saw her face to face and said till we meet again,till we meet no!no!no ! This Can't be happening.i got my phone ,my wallet, passport and headed for the airport, while praying for her.finally I found a plane to south Africa and got it ,I just wish I could fly myself there.vicky hold on just a little longer .I reached in south Africa I less than four hours,I got the hospital father told me ,when I got there I saw him sitted there ,I looked on top the emergency room,no ,no this can't be happening,I felt like bursting in tears wanting to hug Vicky but that couldn't happen could it.
" Nate ", father called.
" Yes , father am here,am here what happened?"
Before I got answer's, I looked at his hands, it's was terrible.
" How did this happen".
Then father explained the whole story,but not everything.
" No ,you can't be serious, this can't be ,not Vicky please".
" Am sorry Nate ,I tried but It wasn't much has her father I could have entered long time ago".
" It's my fault ", nina said.
" What !what do you mean?".
And Nina explained everything,i just couldn't believe it.
" So your telling me my finance is in that position because of your jealousy,you endangered people just because you hated her,and wanted everything to your self ".
" Am so sorry to the both of you ,I was possessed by the spirit jealousy, hatred,anger ,envy ,I never realized that Vicky was so sweet and kind that she sacrificed herself for me".
" Damm it",I said and punched the wall ,over and over again until I started bleeding.
" Stop it Nate ,you hurting your self"father said.
But I was already hurt inside so bad.i began to drop tears in the comfort of my future father in-law.the police came and took Nina in jail because what she did was a crime.
Vicky finally came out of the emergency room,and was taken in another room.
" Doctor what's the news ?"Mr Evans asked.
" You must be her father".
" Yes I am ".
" And ,this young man".
" Am her finance".
" Okay,come with me ".
We entered the doctor's office and he looked at me ,then Mr Evans.
" You don't have to worry, it's infact a miracle she's alive".
" We praise God",we both said.
" But".
" Doctor, what do you mean but?"
" Come down Nate",father said.
"Sorry ".
" Well she's in a coma".
" What!" We both shouted.
" For how long ?" father asked.
" We don't know,when she's going to wake up ,her system is a bit complicated has of now ".
I just couldn't control my tear's or anger I punched the table and walked out, before reaching to Vicky's room,I heard running footsteps.and I looked behind it was Milan and Deborah.
" Nate ,where Vicky, how is she , what happened to her Mr Evans didn't explain everything,come on say something," Milan shouted with tears running down her face.
Milan has always been like this short tempered but we love her still.
" Vicky is in a coma".
" What!"the both shouted.
" It can't be , Deborah said has she collapsed on the floor,I brought them all in a group hug to make them feel the are not alone in this , just there and then I received a call from Amelia.

" Hey what's up".
I heard her sobbing like a baby.
" Amelia what's wrong".
" It's dad ,Nate dad ...dad is".
" Dad's what!"I shouted everyone there became afraid of how I shouted,I was so angry and sad at that moment.
" Dad's dieing Nate ,come please come quick please am scared".
"Amelia,stop playing jokes with me ,am already dealing with something else".
" Nate,do you think I will be joking about father dieing please come quick, don't let it be like mom again please!"she shouted.
Then I heard a voice say " RUN".
I just dropped the phone and started running without saying a word,while tears were running down my face.
" Why ? Why? Why ? Is this happening to me , it's not fair.
" Dad hold on hold on please your son is coming ".
