Tears streamed down my face as I sat curled up in my room, the weight of my family's decision pressing heavily on my chest. They were marrying me off to a man I had never even met. I didn’t believe in love marriages, but at least I wanted to know the person I was committing my life to. Was that too much to ask?
I didn’t even know his name, let alone anything about him. The thought of being bound to a complete stranger in just a few days made my heart sink deeper into despair.
I missed Bhai so much. If he were here, this would never have happened. He would’ve stood by me, fought for me, and protected me. But now, I felt utterly alone.

Aena sat hunched on the edge of her bed, her hands trembling as she wiped away her tears. Her room was filled with an eerie silence, broken only by the muffled sound of her sobs.
Suddenly, the door creaked open, and Aena looked up. Relief washed over her face when she saw her best friend, Isha, step in. Isha was the one person Aena trusted more than anyone.
“Aena, what’s wrong? Why are you crying?” Isha asked, her voice filled with concern as she rushed to her friend’s side.
