Author’s POV:

"Aena, are you ready?" Abhi called out, knocking on the door of the closet.

Today was a big day for Aena. She would be joining his office, but not as "Mrs. Aena Abhimaan Rajvash"—instead, she would be introduced as Aena Mishra.

Abhi had wanted to announce their marriage at the office, but Aena had requested that he keep it a secret for now.

He had agreed but made it clear that if the situation ever got out of hand, he wouldn’t hesitate to disclose their relationship. Aena had reluctantly agreed.

"Yes, just a minute," came her soft reply.

After a few minutes, Aena emerged from the closet, looking absolutely stunning in a simple black suit with a heavy dupatta draped over her shoulders.

Abhi couldn’t take his eyes off her

Abhi couldn’t take his eyes off her. She was so beautiful, so adorable, he couldn’t stop staring.

She picked up her important documents and walked over to him, standing in front of him nervously.

"How do I look?" she asked, her voice shaky with nerves.

Abhi smiled at her, his heart swelling with pride. "You look so beautiful, I can’t take my eyes off you," he said, cupping her face and leaning in, ready to kiss her.

But Aena stopped him by placing her palm gently over his lips.

Abhi’s face fell, and he pouted. "Let me do it..."

"Abhi, not now please, or my lipstick will get ruined," Aena reasoned.

"Jaan, then just reapply it after," he teased, not wanting to stop.

Aena sighed, "We’re getting late!"

"Okay, fine," he conceded, stepping back reluctantly.

Just as she turned to grab her bag, Aena, without realizing it, called him "Hubby" for the first time.

Abhi’s face lit up immediately. "Say that again," he asked, his voice full of amusement.

Aena looked at him, confused. "What?"

"You just called me ‘hubby,’ didn’t you?" he said, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her closer.

Aena’s heart raced. She realized what she had said and looked away, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment.

Abhi lifted her chin gently to make her look at him. "Say it again," he urged, his voice playful yet demanding.

Aena shook her head shyly.

Abhi grinned, his tone lowering to a husky whisper. "Say it, or I’ll make you scream my name, Jaan."

Aena’s eyes widened, her breath catching. Her grip on her file tightened as her body reacted to his words.

Abhi noticed her flushed face and wide eyes, and a mischievous glint appeared in his eyes. "Well?" he teased.

With a trembling voice, Aena finally said, "Hu… hubby… let’s go, we’re getting late."

Abhi leaned in, kissing her neck softly, inhaling her sweet scent. "You smell heavenly, baby," he murmured in his low, deep voice.

Aena felt weak at the knees, her heart pounding. But before she could react, she pushed him back and rushed toward the door. However, her heart skipped a beat when she felt Abhi pull out the clutcher from her hair.

"Abhi, please," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

He leaned closer, his breath warm on her neck. "Please, what, Jaan?" he asked with a teasing smile.

"Please, tie my hair back," she said, her voice shaky.

"What will I get in return?" he asked, kissing her ear lightly.

Aena shivered under his touch, unable to form words. Her body was trembling with anticipation, and her skin was covered in goosebumps.

Finally, Abhi relented and tied her hair up for her. "Okay, but I’ll be taking my kiss later," he said with a sly grin.

Aena, realizing he wasn’t holding her anymore, quickly ran from the room.

Abhi let out a deep breath, trying to calm his racing heart. He was just as affected as she was, but he couldn’t stay away from her.

As Aena walked down the stairs, she bumped into her mother-in-law, Rani.

"Careful, beta," Rani said with a warm smile, but when she noticed Aena’s flushed face, she couldn’t help but tease her.

"Beta, why is your face so red?" she asked innocently, though Aena could see the teasing glint in her eyes.

Aena looked down, avoiding her gaze, and didn’t reply. She suddenly felt embarrassed.

"Hmmm, looks like Abhi's been troubling you again," Rani teased.

Aena, embarrassed, quickly hugged her mother-in-law. "Mom!"

Rani chuckled, pulling her into a tight embrace. "Okay, okay, I’m sorry. Let’s go downstairs; everyone’s waiting."

As they walked down, Abhi entered the room, and immediately, his gaze fixed on Aena.

"Good morning, Mom," he said, hugging Rani.

Aena couldn’t look at him, but Abhi’s eyes never left her.

"I know you can’t take your eyes off your wife, but at least don’t embarrass her in front of me," Rani teased, glancing at her daughter-in-law, who was now as red as a cherry.

Abhi laughed, shrugging. "What can I do, Mom? My wife is just too beautiful to look away from," he said proudly.

Aena couldn’t handle it any longer. She quickly muttered, "I’ll check if anyone needs help in the kitchen," and rushed off.

Abhi smiled to himself, watching her go.

"Why do you trouble her so much?" his mother asked with a mock glare.

"Me? I don’t trouble her," Abhi said, scratching the back of his neck innocently.

After breakfast, Abhi and Aena left for the office. Aena had insisted that it wouldn’t be a good idea for them to go together, fearing that someone might see them.

"I’ll drop you near your office, don’t worry," Abhi reassured her. "No one will see you."
