There are always cases where lawyers get too invested in, dive in too deep, stop at nothing to win the case.
And this particular case is Alicia Florrick's too personal case.
She should've listened to Will when he said she shouldn't have taken this case, but she needed to take this case.
"I need to take this case, you know that I do." She snapped at him in his office 3 weeks ago when she received the case. Will sighed. "Fine, but Leesh, destroy this bastard." Will said with a snarl as she walked out of his office.
She groans as she reads the case file again, shaking her head to rid it of the memories trying to torture her.
She gets to her feet and rushes out of her office, tears welling up in her eyes.
She needs Will.
Will looks up from his conversation with Diane when enters his office shaking violently, tears spilling from her eyes. She falls into his open arms, sobs wracking her body.
"I... can't d... do this c... case, Will." She tells him through her sobs. Will's arms tighten around her.

Will should've known that he should have fought harder to get her not to take this case.
He should've known that this was going to happen.
He tightens his arms around the love of his life and presses a kiss to her hair as her tears soak his shirt and her body shakes, meeting his partners eyes.
"She okay?" She mouths, Will shakes his head discreetly no.
"Leesh, we need to tell Diane." Will says to her after her shaking has subsided. Alicia pulls away slightly and looks at him, her eyes full of fear, shaking her head.
"No, Will!" She protests. Will sighs. He hates seeing the fear in her eyes but he has to do something before she spirals too deep down the rabbit hole with this case.
"Alicia, she can help. Look, I almost lost you once, I cannot lose you again and Diane won't tell anyone without your permission, not even I can give her permission." Will says, Alicia looks over his shoulder at Diane then looks back at him.
"Fine, but this stays in this office." Alicia says testily. Will nods and leads her to the couch, curling up beside him after she's thrown her heels at the door of his office.
"In our second year at Georgetown: me, Will and our friends went to a party after finals. I got my drink spiked then the next thing I know I'm on a bed, naked with this guy on top of me, then Will is ripping him off me and beating him to a bloody pulp after he heard me screaming.
We reported him to the cops but they couldn't identify the guy who raped me, there were theories that I wasn't raped, that I wanted it, things like that." She rushes out, burying her face into his side.
Diane looks at the two of them, sympathy in her eyes for Alicia. "I'm sorry that happened to you, Alicia. That's why you two were arguing in here three weeks ago." She realises, Will nods.
"Yeah, I didn't want her to take this case because I knew this would happen." He tells his partner.
Seeing his best friend being raped is an image he's never gotten out of his head and he never will.
"He doesn't like me doing these types of cases. But I need to do them, to get justice for the victims, the justice that I never did." Leesh says, looking at him, tears in her eyes that she refuses to let fall.
"What can we do to make these cases easier for you?" Diane suddenly asks, both Will and Alicia look at her. A small smile spreads across his best friend's face.
"Make sure I'm not alone with the rapist, Will works with me on every rape case I take on." Alicia requests, Diane nods, looking at Will.
"Will, you're on any and all rape case Alicia takes on, I don't care what anyone says." Will nods at his partner and with a smile at the two of them, leaves them alone.
"It's been years, and I still remember every bit about that night, but I don't remember his face, Will." Her voice is quiet as he wraps an arm around her shoulder, hugging her close. "You may never recall what he looks like, Leesh." He whispers. Over the years, he's tried to identify her rapist, only to come up empty time and time again.
"We'll get through this case together." Will promises as they stare out of his office.
"Together." Leesh confirms before dropping her head on his shoulder.
"Together." Will replies.
