[Percy is seen testing out different weapons, he starts off with archery but that doesn't work very well as he ends up missing the target and the arrow flies over a group of campers, causing all of them to fall to the floor so they don't get hit. Next, Percy attempts weaponry making, which again fails as he fits the hot metal too hard and it flies out of the pliers and lands in a pile of bags next to a camper before catching fire. Later that day, Percy is sat at one of the Hermes tables in the pavilion.]

Percy: Is there a Greek god of disappointment? Maybe someone should ask him if he's missing a kid.

Chris: [talking to Percy before Luke can say anything] Oizys... but she's a goddess. [Percy and Luke turn to look at Chris in confusion.] And her whole thing isn't really disappointment, it's more like failure.

Luke: [turning to look at Percy] We're gonna find the thing you're good at. I know it.

[A bell suddenly chimes causing the Hermes campers to quieten down whilst Luke turns to look towards the fire pit in defeat.]

Luke: Our turn.

Percy: [confused] Our turn for what? [Luke and Chris stand before grabbing their plate to go towards the fire pit.]

Luke: Burnt offerings. The gods like the smell, so it gets their attention before you say a prayer.

Percy: They like the smell of brunt mac and cheese?

Chris: [joking] They like the smell of begging.

"You lot seriously do that? You make your children beg to get your attention?" Narcissa questions the gods, looking at them in disgust. "That's absurd."

"You're one to talk. You lot sort children into houses at the age of eleven and then their personality is decided by the house they're in," Apollo laughs.

"That's what you lot make us do if you choose to notice us," Nico argues back at Apollo.

"He's got you there, brother," Artemis comments, laughing at the face Apollo makes.

[Chris walks off towards the fire pit with his plate to scrape a bit of food in.]

Luke: You burn what you'll miss the most. Then they know you really mean what you're about to say, so they listen. [he slides out from between the bench and table before walking to the fire pit himself.]

[Later that night, Percy is seen sitting by the lake with a fire inside of a tin with his blue candy that he got from his mom in his hand. He takes out one of the bits of candy before dropping it into the fire.]

Percy: Hi, mom. I don't know if I'm doing this right, I hope you can hear me. I think you used to hate this. When the phone would ring that night after you left me at a new school. I'd tell you that the people are awful. That I wanted to come home. Well... the good news is... this isn't that call. I hope you're sitting down, but,,, I think... I've made some friends here. Like, really friends. I think they really like me. Imagine that. He isn't here. My father, he just... didn't show. I mean, ignoring me is one thing, but he doesn't get to ignore you. I'm gonna make him come down here. I'm gonna make him see me. I'm gonna make him see the three of us.

[Percy blows out the fire in the can he made before walking back to the Hermes cabin. Percy is seen walking towards the front of the Hermes cabin before finding Clarisse and two of her friends stood by the door, blocking him front entering. Percy sends them a friendly smile, hoping to be able to just walk past them and go to bed.]

Percy: Hey, guys. Can't sleep, huh?

[Percy is then seen being thrown onto the floor of a bathroom by Clarisse's friends.]

Clarisse: [walking between her friends as Percy turns to the three of them.] Every new kid shows up here and they think they're special. Do you think you're special?

Percy: No.

[Clarisse's two friends look at each other before walking over to Percy and puling him up by the arms as Percy struggles to free himself.]

Clarisse: Tell me you and your sister made it all up about the Minotaur, and I'll let you go.

Percy: We didn't make anything up. [Clarisse nods her head to her friends before they drag Percy into one of the toilet cubicles.]

Clarisse: Some kids gotta learn the hard way.

[Percy grunts as the two holding Percy attempt to push Percy's head into the toilet. However, the water suddenly disappears from the toilet before the two friends let Percy go and stand by Clarisse warily, not sure what's happening. Percy sits up slowly as the toilet makes a noise before water suddenly bursts from the toilet, hitting Clarisse and her two friends and blasting them back onto the other side of the bathroom. The three of them get soaked whilst Percy turns slowly whilst getting up, looking bone dry. Clarisse stands up, water dripping off every part of her body whilst her two friends run off. She sends a glare towards Percy before running out of the bathroom. Percy slowly walks out of the toilet cubicle, looking at the damage the water caused. He turns towards the bathroom door to see a girl stood there. Her hair is in many braids, she wears a yellow jumper and a necklace with beads decorates her neck.]

Percy: I-I can explain.

Girl: No, you can't.

Percy: Okay. Wait, I know you.

Girl: No, you don't.

Percy: Yeah, but you were there. That night in the infirmary.

Girl: Yes. I'm Annabeth.

Percy: You're who Thea was talking about. Are you stalking me, Annabeth?

Annabeth: Yes.

The campers of Camp Half-Blood burst out in laughter as they see Annabeth's smug look when she says 'yes'.

Percy: Okay. Why?

Annabeth: Well, I've been waiting to see if something like this would happen. So I'd know if you can help me.

Percy: [confused] Help you do what?

Annabeth: Win Capture the Flag. I've already got Thea helping me win.

[With this, Annabeth pushes herself from the doorframe and leaves Percy alone in the bathroom. Percy just stands there in shock, looking at where Annabeth was just standing.]

A.N: Bit of a shorter chapter this week but I wanted to fit all of capture the flag into the next chapter and the rest of the episode. I've only got twenty minutes left. Also, with the chapters for the next few months, they may be more periodic as my college work has now picked up and I've started nearing exam season.

Next chapter (hopefully): 24-04-2024 at 4pm (BST)
