A Life We Never Want [1]
"Due to malfunction in the switching system, today's rail schedule has been greatly altered. We apologize to any costumers who were in a hurry. Next stop Iwatodai..." The conductor said through the microphone.
I looked at my side to see my brother, Minato Arisato, still listening to his music. It really looks impossible for us to be twins, we look different, we have different likes, he looks like an emo I don't, he's the quiet type I'm not. The only thing we have in common is our last names and our past.
Minato still isn't talking to me and his gaze is plastered on the train's door. I decided to listen to some music that was in my MP3 player.
After a few more minutes the monorail came to a halt.
"Iwatodai..."
"This is the final train bound for Tatsumi Port Island. Please take care to board before our departure."
Both of us got out of the train and proceeded towards the exit.
"It is now midnight." The lights became dim and the moon became really big. It was gloomy and all the people turned into coffins. Minato seemed to not care and just kept walking towards the dorm where we will be staying.
I cared less, the coffins in the street, in the cars, inside buildings. I've seen them before. They were always there every midnight, as if there was this hidden hour between midnight and the next day because time seems to stop at this time.
We finally made it to the dorm and made our way towards the huge mahogany door. Minato opened the door and went inside while I dragged my bag with me towards the interior of the large dormitory.
As I was inside, I saw Minato signing something and giving it to no one in particular. Maybe he has imaginary friends?
"Minato, what are you doing?" I tapped his shoulder lightly. He turned his head towards me but quickly turned away and started walking.
"Who are you?!" A voice said. We both turned around and saw a pretty girl with short pink hair.
"How can you be-? But it's-" She didn't even bother finishing her sentences so we didn't dare to answer. My gaze fell on the gun holder that was around her thigh along with a gun.
She quickly took her gun but someone stopped her.
"Wait." A red head went down the stairs.
Talk about fancy entrance.
The lights turned on again and everything went to normal. My music played again along with Minato's. "The lights." The pink haired girl said.
"I never knew both of you would arrive so late." The red head greeted. She also has a gun holder around her waist. "I'm Mitsuru Kirijo I'm one of the students who live in this dorm. This is Yukari Takeba, she will be a junior next spring along with both of you." Misturu said while gesturing towards the pink head.
"Minako Arisato, this is my twin brother Minato Arisato." I introduced since Minato isn't really the type of person to do introductions.
"You think they'll be okay here?" Yukari asked Mitsuru. "We'll just wait and see." Mitsuru nodded.
