Radhika Sharma POVI was struggling to drag my suitcases, and the bag on my shoulder was making it harder for me.
"Dibbe, please help me with these suitcases till the PG." I asked Athrav to assist me.
My college and PG were close by, so it would be easy for me to get there even if I woke up late.
(Dibba/Dibbe = trash can)
When I didn't get a response from him, I turned around to look at him. He was lost in his own thoughts, staring at one spot.
I followed his gaze. There was a lady with a man, and they were talking and were looking quite happy. I looked back at Dibba, who was still staring at them, so I turned towards them again.
It looked like the man offered a lift to the lady, which she accepted gratefully.
"Let's go," I heard Athrav calling out to me.
His voice sounded serious, so I decided not to ask him anything right now. I nodded and started walking towards my PG.
We reached at my PG gate, and I looked at Dibba. He seemed a bit off.
"By the way, how are you going to your PG?" I asked, trying to lighten up the mood.
He smiled at me and replied, "Of course, by walking. But you wouldn't get it because aliens don't have legs," he said, hitting my forehead with a laugh.
I rolled my eyes at him and said, "Oh, come on, I was just concerned about you. What if someone kidnaps you?" I raised an eyebrow at him.
"Haha, no one will kidnap me," he said proudly, showing me his muscular arm.
"Oh, you're right. No one would kidnap a trash can like you," I said, laughing at his reaction.
"You wai—" but before he could grab me, I ran inside the PG.
Haha, Dibba thinks he is smart enough to roast me, but it's me, Radhika Sharma.
I said to myself while straightening my imaginary collar.
But my eyes widened when I saw a girl in front of me in pajamas and messy hair, holding a water bottle and looking at me weirdly.
I smiled awkwardly and waved at her.
"Umm... where are you from?" she asked.
"Delhi... actually, my number came up in Delhi, but I wanted to come to Jodhpur AIIMS for some changes in entity," I said, observing her gestures.
"Uh-huh, how much did you score?" she asked nervously.
"687. I know it's kind of low for AIIMS Delhi, but—" before I could finish, she shouted loudly.
"687... fricking 687! Maya, Sana, Piyu, come here fast," she yelled, calling out names.
"What happened, Ishu?" one of them asked.
"Ask what didn't happen! Maya, this girl standing in front of us scored 687 marks in NEET, and she is our roommate." Their eyes widened.
Oh, my God, save me, I pleaded, covering my ears because I knew what was coming next.
And there it was...
"Oh, my... OH, MY GOD! WE HAVE A TOPPER NEET STUDENT WITH US!" they started twirling around me, and I felt awkward standing there.
"Oh, my... SHIT... we didn't even ask you your sweet name," the girl named Ishu asked, smiling widely at me, showing all her shiny teeth.
"Umm, my name is Radhika, Radhika Sharma. You guys can call me Kishori, and also... some people call me Mikky. You can call me tonight," I said, winking at them.
