The Deep Emptiness

You find yourself in a void. It is dark, and you are cold. You wonder how you got here, and how you can be free. "Is there an exit here?", you wonder. You feel eyes on you, yet you feel so alone. Before you can allow yourself to sink into the darkness, you hear a voice. It echoes, and the voice feels hollow somehow. "This body is delicate, fragile." It pauses, seeming to think of what to say next. "Venture out, and you will learn what causes this deep emptiness in your soul."

It becomes harder to see your hands in front of your face, you feel colder. The darkness seems to be consuming you slowly. Your screams are muffled. Now there is a tunnel, with light at the end of it. You feel connected to said tunnel, like you are being pulled towards it. Obligated to walk towards the blinding end of the pathway, you do so. As you enter the light, your vision is impaired temporarily. This feeling is new, you are so curious to know what is on the other side of the tunnel.
