(Luz's POV)
I was getting dressed and ready to head to the Boiling Isles to see Eda and King. It had been a while since I'd seen them due to school and family and things like that. But today I was excited to see them for the first time in what felt like forever.
"Hey Luz. You look happy. What's going on?" A voice asked as I smiled and saw my brother Steven. I had mentioned him and my other siblings Finn and Star to Eda before but she had never met any of them. Which gave me an idea.
"Hey Steven. Are you busy or have anything to do right now?" I asked as Steven shook his head.
"Nah. I'm pretty bored, really. Not much to do but walk around aimlessly. Why?" He asked.
"Well I talk about you guys a lot to Eda, Willow, Hunter and the rest of my friends in the Boiling Isles. You haven't even met Amity, have you? Why don't you come with me so you can meet everyone?" I asked.
"I'm not gonna have to wear a salmon suit, am I?" Steven asked as I couldn't help but laugh. One of the many reasons I loved him so much.
"No silly. You can just wear what you've got on. So will you come with me?" I asked as Steven nodded.
"All right. Not like I'm doing anything else. So how do we get there?" He asked.
Then, right on cue, a portal opened and out walked my girlfriend Amity Blight.
"Hey My Batata. I came to pick you up. And who's this? One of your brothers?" She asked as I nodded.
"That's right, my Sweet Potato. This is my brother Steven. He's the one I was telling you about personally." I said which drew a look of confusion from Steven.
"What EXACTLY did you tell her?" He asked as Amity smiled
"Don't worry about it. She mentioned just enough for a conversation and that's it. And it's just me that knows about it anyway. No one else knows about your powers. And even if they did, the Boiling Isles is full of magical beings, so you wouldn't have much to be self conscious about." Amity said as I kissed her on the cheek.
"Wait. Are you and her....that's great, Luz! I'm happy for you!" Steven exclaimed as he hugged me, causing me to smile and blush.
"Aww. Thank you. Seriously, Steven. It....means a lot for you to say that. I was worried that...you know....no one around here would be OK with me dating another girl." I said as Steven smiled.
"We're family, Luz. I'll support you no matter who you prefer. Why wouldn't I?" He asked as tears filled my eyes as I hugged my brother. I just couldn't contain how happy and relieved I was that someone I care about accepted this.
"I love you so much, Steven. Thank you. But I've wasted enough time. Let's get moving." I said as we headed through the portal.
I was lucky to have such a great brother.
