(Finn's POV)
Man how did I get dragged into this? One minute I'm playing Baldur's Gate 3 and the next minute I'm here at the women's clothing store with Star and Mom while Luz and Steven are who knows where. Seriously, how am I the one who gets roped into things like this?
Oh right. Blackmail. Star threatened to tell Mom who opened the new pack of Oreos before they were supposed to be opened. And since I really didn't want to face the wrath of my Mom, I was in the position I'm currently in now. NOW I remember and I'm suddenly hating my love of Oreos.
"This color looks nice. What do you think, Mom?" Star asked as Mom gave the dress Star was holding a look before nodding.
"I like that color on you, Star. The dress is a bit too short though on the end. I think that you need something that's a bit more conservative. Don't want those boys getting too much of a show." Mom said with a chuckle as Star pouted like a kid until she looked at me.
"Finn, what do you think? Do you think this is too much?" She asked as I knew why she was doing this but what was MY opinion gonna do? Even if I agreed with Star against my will, Mom would not change her mind.
"Eh. I don't think it shows that much, Mom. Besides, you act like you didn't have the same thing back when you were that age. You probably had even more crazier clothes." I said as Star laughed.
"For your information, they were stylish as well as revealing. So there. (Laughs) All right. Fine. I suppose times have changed so I guess it wouldn't hurt to allow you to wear this, Star. However on one condition: You wear leggings under it. Deal?" Mom asked as Star nodded.
"Deal. I can do that, Mom. Thanks." She said as Mom chuckled.
"Thank your brother. He certainly went up to bat for you to get this dress despite you blackmailing him over cookies." She said as Star and I felt our mouths drop open. She knew the whole time?!?
"How did you...?!?" Star asked as Mom chuckled.
"Don't worry about how I knew. Just know that I know and I'm not mad. Honestly, I had planned to open those cookies anyway. So Finn didn't do anything wrong." Mom said as I looked at Star with a smug smirk.
"Uh....I guess all I can say is that I'm sorry and thank you for vouching for me when it comes to this dress?" She said as I looked at Mom and we both laughed. Soon we headed out the store and were on our way home.
