Lyric Raelynn Moore Three Days Later
KNOCKS on the door made Lyric hop up from her couch, pulling down the legs of the shorts she wore for it to not really move since it was boy shorts. Her bare feet came in contact with the floor and she quickly walked to the front door as another knock was heard. She opened the door and her eyes lit up seeing a box of pink flowers with white ones spelling I love you.
"Hey" She heard a familiar voice say making her look to her right seeing Nau'Jour standing there with more flowers. He knew she loved flowers since it reminded her of home, it was a way to her heart everytime.
"Hi." She said before taking the flowers out of his hand. He picked up the box of flowers, "Can I come in?" He asked and Lyric hesitated before stepping to the side biting the inside of her cheek letting him in. Once he was fully inside she closed the door. He looked around as he walked to the kitchen counter and sat the box there. He turned around and cleared his throat.
"Uh- I want to apologize for the way I been acting. And I know you probably not going to forgive me but I'm saying sorry if I had ever hurt you. And now that Ezrah is here I want to be here for him. And you too but I want to make sure I'm in his life no matter how bad of terms we are on." He said looking straight at her. Lyric face frowned as her heart tightened. It felt like it wanted to break into pieces physically.
"I'm hurt. I've been hurt this whole time. And now you want to apologize because your son is here?" She asked with her voice cracking in the midst of her talking. "I had to go the hospital every month of the pregnancy just because I was at high risk of losing my child. And what did you do when I tried to tell you about it?" She asked, rhetorically.
"You told me you were too busy. You were too busy to check on your baby mother, the "love of your life", the girl you changed." She expressed angrily while she tried her best not to cry.
"That's what I'm apologizing for. I know I fucked up and I'm trying to make it right Raelynn." With a frown on his face, he walked closer to her which made her back away.
"No! Do not touch me Nau'Jour. I can't forgive you right now. All you going to do is mess up again and I can't put myself through that. It hurts too much." She said with her hands covering her face as her head started to hurt. "Go see him and get out. Maybe you can take him around your family the next time you see him. My head hurts and you making it worse." She decided that was the last thing she would say to him and walked to kitchen.
