It's been two days since Lyric been home and 5 days since she had Ezrah and oh how hard it was for her. She cut off all of her devices so no one would call her, the television was off, all was heard was the 5 day old baby cry. He was crying almost 30 minutes and Lyric was becoming agitated.
All she wanted was sleep. Just to relax and sleep but whenever she tried to, Ezrah would cry. Is it horrible that she wanted to put the baby outside the apartment? Yes. But the thought didn't sound bad to her at the moment.
She stood to her feet, grabbing the baby not caring how she had him in her hands. That made the crying get louder making her walking faster down the stairs. Walking straight to the baby car seat, she sat him inside before walking to the front door and opening it. She sat him right beside her door.
Before she got to close it she heard her name being called by a familiar voice. She turned around but saw nothing. Her named called from the different direction which made her look. Now her name was becoming louder as she looked in every direction. BAM!
Lyric jumped up looking around. Still hearing the cries she looked down before picking him up and rocking him back and forth while patting his bottom. "I went to sleep on you E. Stop crying please." The sound of footsteps was heard which made her slow down. Her room door opening made her movement come to a halt as she saw Kyren walk in with a bag of chinese food. His face frowned seeing her eyes being almost bloodshot red with bags under them.
"You okay? Don't even answer that hold on." He said before sitting the bags down and walking into the bathroom that was connected to her room. Ezrah starting to cry again which made her do what she was doing before but that didn't help at all as he almost started to yell. She huffed before throwing her head back crying again.
She knew this was going to be hard but not as hard as this. People made it seem like having kids was the easiest thing on earth but maybe this is what the females went through behind closed doors. Feeling her baby being taken from her hands made her bring her head back straight and tighten her grip on Ezrah before being met with a shirtless Kyren with his hair tied back into a ponytail.
"Relax Lyric. I got him you go ahead and get some sleep." He stood up straight slowly. The cries became little wines.
"You sure you got him?" She asked referring to this being his first time holding the little one. He did not want to hold Ezrah while they were at the hospital for some reason she did not know. He nodded before walking out the room.
Quiet. It was now quiet and that was all she wanted. But isn't it weird that now that it was quiet, she missed her baby? She laid down and wiped her face. She pulled the cover over her body letting sleep take over.
