CAM'S POINT OF VIEW

THERE was a harsh chill in the air as the group walked up to the messed up grave sight; dirt had clearly been flung everywhere, and the hole which contained the coffin was partially exposed, however most of the dirt had only been dug out from around it, so the coffin itself was still planted heavily in the ground.

"They really did leave in a hurry," George commented on the mess as the group dropped their kit bags.

"Ready?" Lockwood asked, glancing at each of the agents, getting a solid nod in reply from each. Almost perfectly in sync, they turned their torches off, Cam placed his back in it's strap on his utility belt.

There was a very slim chance that Lockwood would let him investigate the grave with his touch — the boy tended to be cautious about those sort of things —, so he resorted to listening instead. He closed his eyes, feeling a wave of emotions of hit; not his own. Most likely the person who laid inside the coffin.

He frowned slightly as he tried to focus in on the emotions, trying to separate them like sorting out tangled yarn, but failed.

In the background, Annie, George and Lockwood were all saying something but he couldn't register it while he focused. An unexpected surge of vibrations of sorts hit him, but like the confusing emotions, he couldn't identify what the vibrations were caused by.

"Cam?" he could faintly hear Lockwood say from beside him, "Got anything?" eyes still closed the boy shook his head slightly, "Barely. A mix of tangled emotions and vibrations, I think it is?"

He opened his eyes again, looking over at the boy for a second before turning to the grave again.

Not a word was spoken as each member grabbed either a chain or a thermometer from their own duffel bag, before cautiously approaching the half dugged-up burial site.

Cam laid down an iron chain around the edge of the hole, Annie and Lucy doing the same while the two boys placed the thermometers equally spaced out inside the circle. The machines beeped quietly as they did so.

The group got together near the circle, each member drawing straws to see who got the position of analysing the unfinished burial.

A groan came from George as he pulled out the shortest one, "Great," the boy grumbled, shoving the straw into his jacket pocket like the rest of the group did, "George takes first inspection. Watch him," the tallest boy ordered, "I'll take lookout. Let's not hang about," he told the three remainders.

Cam grabbed his torch out from his belt again, standing over to the left of the circle, shining the light over in George's direction. Annie took the right side, while Lucy stood in between George — who was crouched down inside the chain circle — and Lockwood, who faced away from the group, keeping a careful eye out for visitors.
