His touch magical, calculated , His words thought out like riddles, eyes like black diamonds, darkly terrifying but indispensably beautiful. Now that I don't seem to be a threat to his plan, he welcomes me back to our game where I am a pawn and he is a king who constantly checksmates me with his tactics. The game, which contains no rules or instructions, is unclear, just like his plan, which can only be jeopardized by the death wich he manipulates.“How can someone manipulate death?” I turn my head, which is resting on the back of the couch, to Hermoine, who is lost in her book. "What do you mean? You want to kill your secret admirer." Ginny's attention is piqued and she moves to the top of the couch. "No, of course not, but how can someone who sees death as his enemy prevent death."Ginny looks anxiously at Hermione "Dark magic, which you should stay far away from." Ginny seems as disappointed by her answer as I am ,She stands up from the couch with her book under her arm and looks at both of us sternly. "Death cannot be manipulated unless you are willing to give up everything for it, even other people's lives, dark magic is not something you can tamper with without consequences so again, stay away from it and that goes for both of you."She walks away and Ginny rolls her eyes, her need for excitement is something we match on.She looks at the stairs to see if Hermoine has retreated to her bedroom to read her book in peace. She pushes herself even further forward on the couch and I do the same, knowing that she is going to tell me something I want to hear, her red cheeks show that she is nervous. She takes a book out of her bag that is clearly older than the three of us combined and slides it across the table towards me. "I was curious about the spell of your black roses and went to the forbidden section in the library at night, page thirteen might help with what you are looking for." Magick moste evile is written on the cover in gold letters and I look at Ginny before opening it and running my eyes over page thirteen. There is not much clarity about manipulating death. Of the Horcrux, wickedest of magical inventions, we shall not speak nor give direction, is at the bottom of the page. "What's a Horcrux?" She takes the book from my hands. "I wondered that too, so I asked Hermoine who said that it is something gruesome that makes you immortal." I hang on her lips and it seems as if the word carries a darkness with it and the room becomes colder the more we discuss it."She became furious and forced me to return the book." Listening has never been Ginny's strong suit, she doesn't care much for authority. She squeezes her eyes shut and closes the book, from which a ghost emerges and screams loudly before disappearing. "It does that every time you close it." Professor Riddle is absolutely insane and might even be called a stalker, murderer, on the other hand, that's a big accusation that I can't make without having proof."What the fuck are you doing, I've been waiting for twenty minutes."Draco, followed in the doorway by Percy, brother of Ginny and Ron, who is focused on order and following the rules. Hates me as much as the other students despite my friendship with his younger sister and is probably happy to put me on the spot by letting Draco in.Ginny gives her middle finger to her brother who completely ignores her as the focus is now on me and he enjoys my mistake that he would never make. "I thought you were with Pansy so I thought...." He sighs loudly and storms towards me "You shouldn't think so much, I was with Pansy yesterday, one evening a week is enough, Hurry up, we have to go on patrol ."He pushes the lantern into my hand and turns around, Ginny gets up and stands on the couch. "Draco, Draco, your tail is coming back." She points at Draco as she jumps on the couch and I try to see where she sees a tail. "WHERE? WHERE?" Draco spins around and tries to look behind his back. "Idiot." She laughs and gets off the couch, Draco is clearly furious partly due to shame and clenches his jaw. "I would be careful if I you were Weasley." Ginny rolls her eyes unimpressed by Malfoy's threat. I smile at Ginny who gives me a wink in contrast to Draco's glare and follow him out of the Gryffindor common room. "Stop laughing Selwyn."I follow the grumpy blond boy in front of me through the corridors of the dark castle."How did you get him away so quickly." I quicken my pace to keep up with him on the stairs before they move and I'm left behind. "Who?" His cape follows him through the halls as his slicked back blond hair moves up and down with every step. “The boy in the bathroom.”He stops right in front of me and turns to look at me intently. "I was sick." He narrows his eyes as if that's how he can pull information out of me. I raise my eyebrow and stare back knowing I'm lying and he knows it too. He's an annoying, spoiled brat, but he's not stupid, unlike Pansy, who probably hasn't thought about what happened yesterday. "And who gave you that rose?" My cheeks turn red, I can feel how warm I am getting, he sees it too and starts to grin. "That's none of your business." He holds the lantern higher so that our faces are better illuminated and it is strange to see his face up close. “So he gives you a rose and you suck his cock in the bathroom.” Somewhat annoyed by the confrontation with my own actions, I press my nose against his. "Do you have a problem with it or are you jealous?" His eyes widen and he steps back, "eww, never."
Professor Riddle is a good teacher on several levels and one thing I have learned is that you can quickly make someone uncomfortable by getting too close in their aura.He starts walking and I can see that he is thinking about who it could be, curiosity is also one of his traits. "If I hadn't seen that Professor Riddle hates you too I almost would have thought it was him after he cursed me for you." I smile sheepishly and avoid his gaze. "Turning someone into a ferret isn't necessarily cursing someone." I try to change the subject as quickly as possible "Do you think he's capable of something worse?...... like murder?"He sits down on a bench in the hallway and I stop in front of him. "I don't think so, I'm sure." He looks up and his eyes twinkle in the lantern light. "Since my father mentioned him, he has behaved differently, irritable and has a lot of arguments with my mother." His eyes twinkle even brighter and it is clear that it bothers him, that it affects him. His annoying behavior masks a lot of insecurity and in this moment I see a different side of him. "I'm sorry" He nods and I sit next to him. "Sometimes I think he acts like that towards me because he's angry with my father." He rests his arms on his legs and bends forward. I place my hand on his back and he looks back, smiling which I return. Tomorrow he'll probably pretend this never happened, but it's nice to see that he's actually just like the rest of us.“Selwyn?” He looks at me "There was a boy in the bathroom, right?" I start laughing and he does the same "Let it go Draco." He shrugs "I know I'm right, you looked really worn out." I look at him offended after which we both laugh and for the first time I have talked to Draco longer than ever before, we normally only argue because of his complaining about everything. The more we talk the more I find out that he is quite funny and even smarter than I thought. He seems to be in a good mood as he rambles on, asking a question about me here and there to keep me from getting bored with his stories. Time passes quickly and I have to admit that this time the patrol with him was not that bad, we will never be friends but being able to laugh and chat while on patrol together is enough."Shall we walk back, time is almost up." I follow him again through the corridors back to our common room and silence strikes again now that we both know that we are returning to our familiar environment where we are anything but friends. His whole attitude also seems to change the closer we get to our destination, as if he is getting back into the role he has assigned himself.“Don't tell anyone about our conversation.” There is the Draco I know again, would he be the same with Pansy as the Draco i just saw or does she actually not know Draco at all. "Promise, give me your lantern , I'll put them away in the closet." He doesn't let himself be told that a second time and hands me the lantern before he walks into the common room.I carefully blow out the candles in the lanterns before I open the door, Neville once set an entire broom closet on fire due to an unblown lantern. The boy seems to be followed by misfortune, when an accident happens the first thing the teachers ask is if it was Longbottom. “Lumos.” The tip of my wand illuminates the room full of materials, cleaning supplies and spider webs.I turn over an old bucket and stand on it to put the lanterns back on the shelf. Goosebumps form on my body and I carefully look behind me, nothing to see. I carefully step off the bucket and shine around the cupboard, the tip of my wand goes out and the door slams shut."Lumos" "Lumos" My wand doesn't respond and cold takes over my body. I pull on the door that doesn't budge "Riddle?"
