In the aftermath of the cataclysmic events that had plunged the world into darkness, Y/n cautiously navigated the chaotic remnants of civilization. The once-bustling cities now lay in ruins, their once-bright lights now extinguished, leaving only darkness in their wake.

The air was heavy with the scent of ash and decay as Y/n cautiously made her way through the remnants of what was once a bustling city. Broken buildings loomed like silent sentinels, their skeletal frames a haunting reminder of the world that once was.

Every step Y/n took echoed through the desolate streets, her senses alert for any sign of danger. In a world where trust was a luxury and danger lurked around every corner, she had learned to rely on her instincts and keep her guard up at all times.

It was in this unforgiving landscape that Y/n stumbled upon an unexpected sight : a figure lying motionless amidst the rubble, a solitary beam of vulnerability in a sea of destruction. Instinctively, Y/n's hand went to the hilt of her knife, her muscles tense as she approached with caution.

Despite her instincts screaming at her to flee, Y/n's conscience compelled her to offer aid to the stranger in need. As Y/n approached the sleeping figure, she couldn't shake the feeling of apprehension that eat away at her gut. In a world where trust was a rare commodity and danger lurked around every corner, she had learned to rely on her instincts and keep her guard up at all times.

As she drew closer, the figure stirred, and Y/n froze, her heart pounding in her chest as she prepared for the worst. But instead of lashing out in fear, the figure simply groaned softly and shifted position, their movements slow and labored.

But as she saw the extent of the girl's injuries, Y/n's heart softened, and she couldn't bring herself to leave the girl alone in her vulnerable state. With a cautious determination, she reached out to gently assess the mysterious girl's condition, her movements slow and deliberate so as not to startle her. Without hesitation, she knelt beside her, her eyes scanning her form for any sign of life-threatening injuries. The stranger's breathing was shallow, her skin pale and clammy to the touch.

Suddenly, the girl's eyes snapped open, and before Y/n could react, her movements swift and instinctual. Before Y/n could react, she found herself pinned against the nearest wall, the girl's knife pressed threateningly against her throat. The cold surface pressing into her back as the mysterious girl pinned her in place.

For a moment, there was silence between them, tension thick in the air as they sized each other up, each wary of the other's intentions. Y/n's heart raced, adrenaline coursing through her veins as she stared into the mysterious girl's eyes, wide with fear and uncertainty.

Y/n raised her hands in a gesture of surrender, her voice calm but tinged with urgency as she spoke. "Wait," she managed to choke out, her voice barely a whisper. "I'm not here to harm you."

The stranger's grip tightened, her gaze flickering with suspicion as she studied Y/n's face, searching for any sign of deception. "Who are you ?" she demanded, her voice low and dangerous.

Y/n swallowed hard, her pulse pounding in her ears as she struggled to remain calm. "My name is Y/n," she replied, her voice steady despite the fear that gnawed at her insides. "I found you here, injured. I just want to help."

The girl's demeanor briefly softened before returning to her usual hardened expression, her grip on the knife remaining firm. "Why should i trust you ?" she asked, her voice tinged with skepticism.

Y/n met the woman's gaze, her own eyes filled with sincerity. "Because we're both just trying to survive in this world," she said earnestly. "And because i believe that helping each other is the only way we'll make it through."
